Poe2 keep freezing my pc

Reading the comments here, I have to include my observations. I had one of those nasty crashes a few patches ago where I had to reboot, even my Internet access was gone after booting up. Had to power cycle the modem and router to get back online.

I'm running Windows 10 Home, not Windows 11, so the OS doesn't seem to matter. Windows 11 is worse, but it seems to affect both. Perhaps some of the patches fixed it for Windows 10, not sure. I'm not sure because of the next major issue:

The CPU/GPU is slammed the entire time the program is running, and nothing will change it. I tried disabling multithreading, and the framerate was unplayable with the CPU/GPU meters still pegged to 100%. Nothing changes that here, and I'm not risking my computer playing POE2 with this going on.
