"Rarity of items found" Ruin the game!
Progression stats inherently feel obligatory.
Whether from gear or character. Why would I ever take off any exp increasers until my character is max level? Why would I not put them on at the earliest point I possibly can? Why would I ever take off any loot increasers until ALL of my characters are fully kitted out? Why would I not put them on at the earliest point I possibly can? "But you'll be weaker." Sure. Today. Today I'll be weaker. But tomorrow I'll be a higher level with better gear. Especially considering that the best way to gear up a new character is not to play the new character. It's to run maps on an endgame character for currency, and buy low level gear for the new build. |

" if you need "rarity of items found" stat to make loot drop then the soltion is not add this stat that people can chose to build into to make the game loot works instead GGG should fix loot in the game.. . |

" thee stats have no place on gear.. do you want to be able to get 1k% increase EXP on items but that the base EXP will be divided by 10 because you can get up to 1k% exp (equal to 10x) on gear? imagine how this would feel? stock forever at level 70 unless you use full items with increase EXP .. that is exactly how loot feels now.. . the loot feels like it been divided by 10 simply because you can stack rarity to make it 20x ... so if you dont stack rarity you waste your time farming entire day finding close to nothing.. |

Magic Find in PoE 2 forces everyone to build around it because the currency loot difference is just too massive. The game should reward skill, difficulty, and performance instead of pushing players into a Magic Find build. If you’re not stacking Magic Find, it honestly feels like you’re wasting your time. It’s counterintuitive, and limits build variety and creativity.
Don't try to hold it, flow with it.

" I hear you that it's a precedent. But I feel that a sequel is a perfect time, then, to move away from the paradigm of 'Optimal = Play an efficient build until you've amassed the currency to play the build you enjoy'. That's like going to a job you only tolerate to save up money to go on vacation. We have that in real life. If MF isn't in the equation we'll still have this, but we'll get more overlap in the venn diagram of efficient builds and builds people find fun, accounting for different player taste. Magic Find is 100x worse here than PoE1.
I have really tried to enjoy the endgame. I reached T15 maps. Cleared 15-20 T15s yesterday. I am averaging about 10 ex an hour on trash currencies and simulacrum shards. The endgame is just not fun. I wouldn't be able to afford an upgrade even if I looted 3 divine today, which I won't because those T15s yesterday took me a few hours to clear (Warrior life, Slam clear speed ftl). Prices are skyrocketing because people can run around with Rangers and Spark mages with 500% rarity farming 100s of ex an hour, clearing maps in 2-3 minutes, and gaming the trade prices. GGG really, absolutely needs to eliminate Item Rarity from the game. This game is supposed to be different from PoE1. But right now the economy is 100x worse, the experience is pretty horrible for a solo player that isn't farming loot with a full squad like EmpyrianGaming. |

I agree that mf should be removed entirely from gear, uniques included. It adds nothing positive to itemization or the game as a whole. Rarity stats should be tied to difficulty to encourage build progression and making it deeper into the game.

" Actually that's not the point of my post. The point is to give extra rewards for those that opt into additional difficulty. If it was [roughly] as costly for ALL BUILDS to opt-into magic find then it would be a strategic decision to do so. Note: You also need to make sure that there's enough diminishing returns that the one feature by itself doesn't wreck the economy. My second point was to also reward players that partake in the absolute most difficult content in the game [vastly more difficult for at least a reasonable level of rewards]. It sounds good on paper BUT it requires a lot of work. Note: It would absolutely be easier to get rid of rarity on GEAR and PARTY play and that may level the playing field sufficiently. YMMV. this does create an interesting dynamic. i have found myself nerfing my character by putting on rarity gear and even the rarity charm.
maybe rarity should not exist. i'm not certain. on one hand it feels more fun to me to try and find more uniques but i shouldn't have to do that artificially. hm. |

" Exactly this, I decided to take a break from poe2 til druid drops at least, i'll just play druid for fun until they reset with a league launch or smth. If you don't stack MF, you are definetely wasting time, and stacking MF rn is really a huge work. Majority of the good mf pieces go for huge div prices, people who play this game and still stuck at act bosses will be quiting the game once they realized whole market went to high prices and its impossible to buy item, since finding upgrades is so hard. I rather wait for them to fix these big problems and eventually they will do league launches in EA, some sort of reseting will happen with fresh servers, it's worth spending time then, now if you have mf pieces go for it. If not, good luck. |
