Heh, sure, "it's meant to be". Thing is, games are developed to make money, or at the very least, make up for money spent on its development. And looking at poe2 level design, boss design (visual of course, not overtuned numbers) - poe2 is a very expensive piece of art.
And yet, it contains so many design choices going straight against the market, against the players, and against common sense. What "it's meant to be" in this state is repeating poe1 fate - only tryhard masochists would pay for THIS repeatedly every league, and grind 10 room ultimatums for a CHANCE of getting last ascendancy boss key. Or getting your first greater jeweler orb at level 70+ on your second character in league. Or put up with our favorite trade site.
If this was what GGG wanted all along, yeah, they did it. Hope porting more old league mechanics from poe1 to poe2 will keep them afloat.
I already mentioned that - it's the hardcore players that keep the lights on at GGGs, not weekend "players"

A prediction for you: You're likely to grow increasingly disappointed as development continues, possibly even disliking PoE2 by its official release.
GGG has a consistent pattern of starting with massively overtuned content and gradually adjusting toward what they consider optimal balance over time - that's a key purpose of early access. If you're genuinely expecting this to be "Path of Souls," you might want to reconsider that expectation.
except there's an overwhelmingly positive response. People love Path of Souls and challenges it brings. The moaners are loud indeed, but are a minority

Path of Souls...thats dumb and if it goes that way the game will tank.

Steam
The average number of players over the last 30 days is 326,224.2, with a peak of 578,562.
Early access
The game has sold over one million early access keys across all platforms, and the total number of active players is likely between 200,000 and 1,000,000.
Overall
The game's launch was a smash hit, with over half a million concurrent players on Steam alone. It's expected that the player count will increase when the game launches as free-to-play.

Difficult is one thing, but being unfair is another.
Having only one attempt at a map/boss doesn't make the game harder, it just robs you of life times.
Having to do the ultimatum 3 times for a Trial Master doesn't make the game harder it just robs you of life time.
Running thousands of maps for an endgame boss attempt doesn't make the game harder it just robs you of life time.

it just robs you of life time.
so basically does EXACTLY what games (and other types of that entertainment) are meant to do - "take away" your "life time" in exchange of entertainment?
Yeah, kinda what I had in mind when I said that POE2 is difficult by design lol

You're not born a troll. You become one.
Your "topic" is pure troll, and quite frankly, most (all ?) your lastest posts are.

It's hard because getting past a point is not a matter of skill. it's a matter of loot and XP. So it's not hard, it is tedious atm. And this, hard for anyone that does not want to slowly grind. PoE2 was for casual play. If ytou immagine it is the same story and maps as in PoE1. Then PoE2 just feels like it is PoE1 with a different league.
