The REAL disservice to all PoE players.
" Nah I'm with you on that autoaim is shit. I'm just saying so is WASD and there would never be an aiming problem if they kept WASD and controller out of the game in the first place, isn't it. Do you know how many hours of work wasn't put into the actual game to have two shitty other form of controls that corrupted the only superior one: point and click. A lot. Sorry if I'm an annoyance. WASD control is one of few improvements.
AND it actually feels pretty smooth. The reason is simple.. You can move, change directions (even during rolls) and use all your abilities in whatever direction u like at the very same time. POE1 wasnt even supporting this, you always had to stand still while using any skills (but movementskills). Because it wouldnt be smooth if you just use your mouse. If you now decide to clunk yourself using mousecontrols.. well thats your issue i guess? Just give WASD a shot - its better.. BY FAR. And btw.. your wild theories wont change that. Everything is said - We can close this now. |

" I tried the 3 forms of control. I don't have any trouble with point and click in any aRPG. I slam you any time with point and click, just asks. There is about 1 post of "please shoot my arrow where I aim" per hour on the forums. They are WASD players having issues. Weird for such a superior form of control. Every type of players don't like the autoaim remnents. It won't change the fact that WASD had been experimented in many isometric games and such games with WASD only, always die lol. Attacking while moving in poe2 is the same as the stutter steps of poe1. Because it slows you by half, if you don't time it you'll eat the attack/trap. It is just a worse version of point and click that implemented an autoaim bug corrupting every forms of control. So far you add nothing to the conversation more than others. You stated your feeling wich is:"I was bad with point and click, I now feel better using WASD". Thanks for sharing your feelings, won't make it any truth. You're only correct on one thing: WASD allow you to move like a retard when you dodgeroll wich is one of the only fun thing the game old. And again, PoE2 didn't invented WASD in isometric games. There is a reason why none of these games had succeed and it was drop by everyone. And that reason have nothing to do with implementation. On a last note I could arg that nobody should use WASD. If you are looking for QoL and ease of gameplay, you play with controllers. Unless you still need to ego bloat smell your own fart and pretend you can use a keyboard and a mouse. You either go for the optimal control: point and click or the Qol of a controller. WASD is an hybridation of the worse of both worlds. You are as boring as poe2 get. Everything said, we can close the door. Last edited by epiphase#4568 on Dec 21, 2024, 9:11:24 AM

WASD is great, perfect precision in moving, no need to click on the magic pixel to dodge exarch boulders while you're running at 10000kmh and trying to figure out where your character will stop.

Comedy Gold. You mean the overly aggressive autoaim that doesn't work well on consoles is forced onto MnK too? So by trying to please everyone, they've pleased no one? The entire fun factor and efficiency of using fireball and frozen orb type of skills was being able to aim them, and they took that away from you too. This is why I went to melee only classes.

I wouldn't have spent the $30 for early access (which, to be honest, I'm not enjoying at all) if the game didn't have controller support.
