But you are totally right: this doesn't apply to 99.9% of players because they...just play the game. That is ideal. Sadly, that isn't reality for posts like these.

Just thought I'd point out: isn't this sort of true of all education? 99.9% of the things you are taught in your life are meaningless. But you still likely KNOW them. I totally don't intend that to be a dig because what you said is 100% correct, its just an interesting connection that your statement made me think of.
