Warrior Titan got destroyed by the bugfix on armour explosion - Now what?!

" GGG said there maybe be 1 test league per month... as I remember? If GGG don't fix this, atleast we know mace skills are garbage for sure now XD |

I mean some streamers did abuse the bug and did outo-attack explode everything on sight, so this needed fixing, but on the other hand the game does punish you for choosing warrior, it is so slow and underpowered compared to everybody else, it's not even funny, I do feel dumb for spending hundreds of exalts on warrior cause it looked fun, but when I see deadeye obliterate a pinnacle boss in 5-6s... while also clearing entire map on crazy speeds, makes me feel dumb for playing warrior cause whatever melee "fantasy".
So it's ok the bug got fixed, but something needs to be done in regards of melee in general, everything on the passive tree that gives damage removes attack speed and makes the class unplayable, so you must invest into attack speed, then you lack damage and STILL slow AF PoE1 3.23 - the best league of all time (an absolute banger)
---- PoE2 0.2f - a bit better, but PoE1 atlas is a million times better than PoE2 atlas |

" I bet we'll see some pretty big changes to mace skills after the other skills have been added. Maybe there's some crazy interactions with the yet to be released skills that'll make mace pop-off. Maybe adding the new skills will make it apparent how bad mace skills are in comparison and they'll get buffed. Could go either way honestly. Hence my post - warrior isn't far enough along to have been included, they should have held it back a couple months, released it mid EA with a full set of skills. All the feedback on the warrior right now is kinda meaningless because who knows what it'll be like with all those other skills. AND adding that new class mid EA would likely have given them a player count pop, brought people back to the game to try it out, etc. 100% bungled decision to include it with mace only. Nothing of the sort was communicated before early access started, the opposite actually, GGG advised that warrior was THE class to start, so why is it deliberately made the worse ?

Can anyone tell me what is the point of shield wall now? If you cannot use it to generate armour breaks in boss rooms, why would you ever use it?

" It was my impression that 'inanimate objects' generated by skills were INTENDED to be used as explosion vectors. Both have interactions in which you are supposed to shatter them for big shotgunning damage. Making them arbitrarily armour break immune isn't a 'bug fix' by any description. It is a core targeted change. They didn't even bother changing the tooltip to indicate that they are uniquely given armour break immunity. I think this change was not well thought out at all. Armour explosion as a mechanic is now Dead on single targets outside of break -> exploit -> break patterns. There are NO ways left in the game which allow you to shotgun armour breaking explosions on bosses. If GGG wanted to stop glacial bolt from armour breaking itself on warbringer, they could have simply increased the armour of ice crystals to some relevant value which would require more armour break than you can reasonably get on glacial bolt even with warbringer. It would then reward lategame warbringers for overinvesting in armour break to reach breakpoints where maybe every second glacial shot overlap triggers armour explosion shotgunning or something. Shield wall is a bigger casualty in this because there is no legitemate use for the skill outside of generating armour breaking targets in boss rooms. The scavenged plating spirit skill is now effectively useless in boss rooms because of this change. On top of this, the anti recursion 'bugfix' has actually made armour break explosion have ANTI-SYNGERY with Heavy stun armour breaking. The explosion can still stun but the stun is now hardcoded to no cause armour breaking from any source. This means that using armour break explosion can cause heavy stun which gives all enemies stun resistance making any follow up use of heavy stun to armour break more difficult. Armour break/explosion as a mechanic is entirely gutted by this 'fix'. Hard coding exceptions is not a valid description of a 'bug fix'. |

We "fixed" the bug of warrior being able to clear maps effectively.

Lul, everythime something gets fixed/nerfed "GGG, you SUCK. Please make skill better again or I'll stop playing forevaaaa!"
Guys. Things that are overtuned or that are bugged will get nerfed/fixed. Sometimes so much, that people can't use that said build anymore. That doesn't mean, that this skill with stay like this. It's very likely that nerfed skills will get slight buffs again in the future to make them viable again. It's EA, GGG will try out alot of things, wait for feedback and will try out things again. And they will do that, until the skills feel "right where they should be". That's why EA is going to take up to 12 month. This is alot of time. I mean, I'm playing warrior with armour break and sunder and I'm having tons of fun. Bosses go down quite fast and my sunder clears waves easily. So I'm n ot even using stampede. So if stakmpede isn'Ät working for you anymore, then try out something different. It's EA, start experimenting. And if you can't handle these changes emotionally, then EA isn't for you. |
