We Want / Need 6 Portals !!

There are many ways to punish than bricking the map.



There already exists xp death penalty, right?

There could be any other punishents, if one really wants them that make more sense. Reset the boss/map? "Damage the map" on death and get less loot after each death?

Why must it be the current system?

It is about imposing a feeling of punishment if you fail. Without that feeling. Do you really think you would still play the game?


I can state with 100% certainty that I am not interested in being punished by a video game. I don't need to have upwards of 20 minutes of my time plus any juice wasted for one death in a map if I have to clear it again for less rewards and no extra content.

Ruthless needs to be an opt-in mode, not the whole game.

I tried two Iron Citadels and failed twice on the boss. Now I have to find a new one, and it's definitely killing the fun I had throughout the entire game.

I have no issues with the map itself—it's just a lack of skill (I'm getting old) and my PC isn't the best, so I experience some lag at times.

During the campaign, you have checkpoints right before bosses, allowing you to try them as many times as you want. But having only one attempt per map is really too low, in my opinion.


The rest of the game is really good, so great job, GGG (that's not sarcasm). I hope you'll change this in the future.

GGG, all dudes who like danger play HC, why I have to bother myself to clear a whole map and then die at bossfight and do all over again ?

I already wrote this, but ruthless mode is not fun, We want just chill playing your game.

The game is hard, we got it, you are smarter then us, we got it, we can't beat you so easly nor we can beat your game, but GGG, chill please !

Hardcore will always exist when they inevitably remove the lose map on death penalty.

No thank you. I prefer 1 death per map. Finally the game rewards at least some other strategy than to RUSH RUSH RUSH DIE RUSH RUSH DIE RUSH.

Sorry to say it won't be staying like that for long. Otherwise PoE 2 will have about the same player numbers as Ruthless.

6 Portals just lets people who have no business running certain content to brute force it. Its not really a "second chance" at a map, its more like a defensive layer in POE 1. People will play characters so squishy that if anything touches them once, they die, but its OK because they can do that 6 times before the map is bricked.

1 Death forces you to make sure your defenses are dialed in and that the content you are running is suitable for your build.
