Please for the love of god remove ALL on death effects

exactly,at least let as reenter the map and get the loot,be it empty of mobs chests, everything. just let as get the loot. it makes no sense,it is super frustrating and totally unfun.
Because of this shit is why I’m now exclusively playing cold damage builds. Once you shatter them they can no longer explode on death.
+1 its horrible because foilage often makes it completely invisible.
if they are already telegraphed it should be visible always, the fire/lightning aoe for example has an outline thats like 1-2 pixel thick

it is actually mentally tiring to always stay on high alert for every single pack every single map just because it has low visibility
Remove them. That's not fun.

Exactly this. If I kill a dangerous mob, I want to calm down for just a second.

Not all!

A couple of the on-death effects are properly telegraphed, both visually and audibly, while at the same time giving you room/time for maneuvering. Those are examples of good on-death effects. One of them being the "fat guy" that slowly explodes (don't ban me for fat-shaming, GGG).

But yes, there are too many effects that are too 'hidden' and too fast to react to in this rather slow paced game without sufficient movement. Those effects need to go.

As I wrote in another thread on this subject: I remember Jonathan was talking about PoE 1 on-death effects in an interview, where he stated that PoE 1 was too fast and AoE-oriented for "anything" to post a real threat, other than on-death effects. He might have a point, but PoE 2 is not - and they should absolutely tone down the on-death effects.

When the only impact on the game is to back up, or stop and wait before you loot, all it really achieves is a cheap death or wasting time. This has been unanimously hated for years and it should probably be removed.
