Please for the love of god remove ALL on death effects

With how punishing the map system is they make 0 sense to exist. you lose so much progress cause of dying atm that this is an insane mechanic to exist.

You have all those things happening, that you need to be aware of.Dying is so overly punishing atm in the game, specialy on endgame. Not only you lose your map,the loot on ground that you can see as your corpse is chilling near them and the xp loss on top.It is also a HUGE time sing cause of what you invested on said map.

All this to be ruined by a on-death-effect while mose of the time you cant even see it cause of map colors and pillars or walls hiding half of the screen makes 0 sense. The game clarity on many maps is abysmal.

In the end you have to think "is this mechanic fun? does it serve a purpose in the game thats engaging?"

I wont even mention hardcore cause it is undoable at the current state of the game. GL to those who like it. Kinda same goes for ssf but it is managable. Is it fun though ?

+1 so sick of these.

Even when dealing fine with them it still means standing around waiting for them to expire to go and loot. Nothing good comes from these

death to all on death effects please.

Not all!

A couple of the on-death effects are properly telegraphed, both visually and audibly, while at the same time giving you room/time for maneuvering. Those are examples of good on-death effects. One of them being the "fat guy" that slowly explodes (don't ban me for fat-shaming, GGG).

But yes, there are too many effects that are too 'hidden' and too fast to react to in this rather slow paced game without sufficient movement. Those effects need to go.

As I wrote in another thread on this subject: I remember Jonathan was talking about PoE 1 on-death effects in an interview, where he stated that PoE 1 was too fast and AoE-oriented for "anything" to post a real threat, other than on-death effects. He might have a point, but PoE 2 is not - and they should absolutely tone down the on-death effects.
Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.

+1 it's frustrating
My main issue with the game at the moment is,it has many of the poe1 mechanics in game now,but they dont fit the game in general, they are things of the past made for another type of a game(be it d2 or poe1).

My main issue is mobs with on death effects spawning on mechanics like ritual where you just die. Ritual is another mechanic that aint developed for poe2 and is a death trap.
I just died a bunch of times after killing mobs, I have not even seen what killed me. There was nobody alive on the screen when I died.

I have 10k hp btw.
Would not be AS bad if you didnt lose all your loot drops when you die. This makes it completely unacceptable.
