Please Add a Market Without Player Interaction!

I know GGG will never do this, but PoE1's borderline requirement for trade is a big reason I stopped playing PoE1. I don't want to come home from work and spend all night messaging 100 people trying to trade an item. I don't have fun doing that nor do I really have the time for it.

What I think is funny is they were so against AH forever then they added the currency AH, everyone loved it, and.... it's basically caused no problems at all?

Since they'll never do it they could possibly copy something like the Circle of Fortune from Last Epoch just for SSF mode or some other kind of SSF like mechanic for the people who don't want to trade.

But I think the reality is they want people trading so giving people avenues to not trade hurts the trade market since there's less items. Idk it's a tricky balance. Ultimately it is what it is and I'll probably bounce off PoE2 just like I did PoE1 due to the trade system but I'm having fun while its lasting.

As for bots, IMO 99.9% of the problem is cause the trade site has a public API. If trading was done only in an in game UI the bots could not constantly scan the market and snipe things nearly as easily.

You could also heavily rate limit an in game AH if you wanted by say having a currency as rare as the trial key drops that you spend to do a single trade on the AH and make this currency non-tradable.

It could still be vastly more automated. Like you could have a proper in game button to fulfill the trade that is whispered to you after showing a visual representation. I do not sell anything because going to my stash, grab stuff in the tab, party drag drop.. is too much break of my time flow .

This would be great. Anything that removes the annoyance of needing to manually party up and perform the trade. This would be a good middle-ground for those who are vehemently against an AH. As it is right now, I will not likely engage in trade at all.

It won't happen.

Trade needs to have a convenience cost to counterbalance how overpowered it is to simply acquire gear by trading.

Convenience items are already on an auction house if you visit Alva, everything that stacks should be available there.

Well I simply refuse to put anything for sale for that reason alone. The hassle is too big for people that have limited time to play. I prefer poverty than to make my game a second job where I need to be on standby for clients.

It's fine, there is SSF if you don't want to trade, or other ARPG more casual-friendly on the market.

Ggg would rather have bots controlling the market than allow a buyout system like tradeboad in poe1 for console.

It's crazy as a console player trading is a waste of time. Message over 50 people for 1 item 0 responses. You can go for hours but until you find another console player I don't think the messages even go through.

Can't invite them have to wait for their invite. And if they missed the message rip the ui is so terrible on xbox it's impossible to find.

Just for the message to disappear 10 seconds later after chat blows up.

It's like they have 0 clue how to add in trading.

It's completely botted already. Any 'meta' affix is camped by a legion of bots.

IE: 2% mana on kill, on jewels.

The trading system is quite scuffed. However the feedback you get from people mass messaging you is useful to determine value of something if its underlisted.

Fully automated trading would mean that bots just snipe underpriced items as soon as they are listed, then relist them for more.

I don't know what the answer is, but full automation is not it.

this isn't true, on console in poe 1 we still had to actually accept the trade. It wasn't like an auto buyout market like in the China client.

So if you price something too low you still get the feedback from the spam offers.
I’ve used the console trade system quite a bit, and while the concept is interesting, it’s still problematic. It’s entirely in-game, but you make an offer, and the seller either doesn’t accept, takes too long, or something else happens to stall the process.

It would truly be great to have a system where, once a price is listed for X value, you could buy it with a single click at that price—no interference or unnecessary steps.

I highly doubt there would be bots spamming items for 4, 6, or 9 ex when the item is actually worth 20 or 25 ex, because if these bots or manipulative groups tried something like that, their items would just get instantly bought. This would completely remove their ability to control the market!

If bots were created to purchase underpriced items, it would simply mean someone set a price too low, and the item was bought—it’s fair game. However, I understand that the presence of bots in such a key part of the game’s system indicates some sort of flaw in the mechanics. Perhaps GGG should investigate this further, ensuring that any automated exploitation is addressed.

A system like this maybe would make the market far more dynamic and eliminate much of the frustration players experience!

I want to trade.. I do not want to feel like an idiot trading. Notice.. I trade in real life.. and it is ESIER to sell stuff trough amazon than trough POE. I literally have less work to sell my paintings in real life than to sell Items in a game!

That is simply BAD DESIGN! Is a game is harder than real life..it is simply BADLY MADE!
