3rd ascendancy trial is a bad joke - RNG+horrid balance=waste of time
idk, i just walked in there and took a duece on the floor three boss and all the rares along the way. I don't have very good resists but i can kill them all in about 2 seconds.

It's the only thing I hate about PoE2. Well maybe the visual clutter that often happens and you die to something you can't even see or that looks like something else. But you see dying doesn't overly bother me much. Dying and having to waste my time redoing stuff though? That makes me livid. And that's the entire point of the Trials. Don't die or you've wasted your time and redo everything. Also we put in RNG mechanics to increase the chances you die. Also, also it becomes super long so the odds of one thing ruining it and wasting your time starts to approach one. It's just terrible. It might be a neat side thing to do for loot or whatever, but being forced to do it is the one big thing that is likely to make me uninstall and never come back. It's EA, so they can still fix it, but seeing mild nerfs to Sekhmet says otherwise. It sounds like "we're playing the dials on this thing that sucks so maybe you'll just accept it." Just get rid of it as a required advancement path. Nothing you can do will make it enjoyable. |

If you have a lot of HP and good res, stack honor resistance relics to 75% it will make a massive difference. |

3rd Sekhema trial is way too damn long for how punishing it is, are they not considering how absurd a number of rooms that is, all with rng in every single one.

GGG will have the stats to see how many people actually ascend past the 2nd trial. Then they should realize it's probably an issue. The fact that you need to do a run with 3 Trials to get your third Ascendancy is utter bullshit. I've lost 3 or 4 runs to RNG bullshit on the last ones, each of which wasted like an hour of my time. Fuck that.

For me, i must say that i hate this mechanic. I hated it in POE1 and i hate it here. I don´t understand why GGG has taken this stuff in a new game.

I dont hate the system itself but the execution is just bad. Those trials are just to long. 1 flor of sanctum and 4 trials of chaos should be the line. 3 floors and 10 rounds is just too long. There is too many possibilities to get screwed by RNG. Shortening it would solve a tons of issues.

I think I had 2 runs out of like 60 in which I had mods which made the run actually hard. But yeah, I wouldn't do sanctum in my wildest dreams - good thing you can just do ultimatum and be done with it. Farming salt on the forums since 2024

" Actually you do plenty of time. I plas as blood mage im made out of wet paper when it comes to physical dmg so the rings + blood orb can pretty much one shot me. Petrify satues are death sentence. Lower regen also is kinda a brick since the cost of spells is so damn huge (300 mana + 300 life for my most basic spell when i have 2000 hp at lvl 72).
