Soul Core of Tacati is a rune that provides +7 Chaos Resistance to armour.

Breach is one of the most profitable known sources at the moment. There is time to react, and strategy to not getting encircled. You're skipping the best money making mechanic in the game atm:P


I'd love to see it, as a non cast on cold sorc the last breach I tried I lasted about 5 seconds and don't think I managed to kill any enemies due to the ridiculous spawn rate
Breach is nice on EQ....

Get setup time and then I just chain it over and over and all the mobs come to them and I just bonk the ground.

Honestly all the mechanics are nice on EQ im finding....
After another day of mapping and really stacking more defences. the general play has become better.

I feel expeditions and delirium are in good spot, although the shops for expedition currency are pretty trash. Breach is just stupid and ritual is not worth the squeeze

XP loss is nonsense though, I don't think players should be halted from gaining power especially if they are struggling. This also means you are stuck with the same merchant shops for a whole day.

I've not found a single item from drops, gambling, crafting or merchants that could increase my current power. Everything has come from trading and as each day goes by the prices on things get way more expensive. boots I wanted yesterday for 20 exalts, are now selling for 200.

I think for all the philosophizing, speculating, and sometimes rationalizing that goes on - this to is really the the bottom of the matter.

Mapping is just not fun right now, and I've honestly barely got anywhere in it yet but feel very little motivation to push it. I was using all the spare time I had to try to get to maps, much to the annoyance of my wife so I'm pretty disappointed with what's here now. I feel a bit deflated but also a bit relieved that I'll have a bunch of free time not playing this game with the holiday season upon us lol.

Losing everything to a one shot death from some hard to see (or sometimes very literally completely covered up) ground effect is extremely annoying. I don't see what was wrong with the 6 portal system from PoE1. It's like the devs get personally offended if someone beats a map lol.

If they could smooth some of the sharp corners off mapping and make the ascendency trials 3 and 4 not fall between excruciating (ranged class) and impossible (melee class) that would be nice.

OK so now I got a T5 stone from a T4 one. Then I beat that and it gave me a T3 stone. So later I went all in and fused everything and it got me a T6 plus a leftover T3 or two. Then I did that T6 and all it dropped is one T1.

So now I'm at rock bottom again. I'm sorry, but I feel like if I play well and don't die, I should be making progress, not losing progress. I don't even know what I'm supposed to do here. It certainly doesn't feel rewarding or fun.

Thanks for the heads up, but isn't that like some uncommon reward for some endgame content that's ten times harder than what I'm struggling with right now? I did the Trial of Chaos once for the second set of points, and it was whopping my ass even when I was 10 levels above it, despite the fact that I could effortlessly beat monsters at my level and even above it in the campaign. So if it's harder than monsters 10 levels above it and I'm now getting offscreen sniped by monsters 5 levels below me, I don't see beating this being an option if it has to be done anywhere near my level. Let alone often enough to get an uncommon, random reward often enough to socket into all my equipment.
