End Game Is Rough
" Just a note if you missed it (wouldn't be surprised, many UI and prompt elements are either unclear, hidden or missing at the moment) you have to do x number of maps of each tier to get points, its 10 maps of t1-5, just started t6 myself and you need 8 of those. I imagine this is a quick fix while in beta |

I am currently on the T4 Map portion of the quest line and I have invested in the 20% increase and the higher tier increase nodes and rarely see Waystone drops at all in maps that are being fully cleared.
To get past the T3 quest I was buying 3 T1 tokens at $5K gold a piece and reforging to make 1 T2 and then turning 3 of those into 1 T3. That means to run 1 T3 map it costs $45K gold. Thats insane. Please buff the drop rates or allow the vendor to sell the unlimited supply for Waystones for the current tier of the quest line we are on. |

im just straight up not having fun yo. the og mapping experience was pretty much perfect especially after u could tailor the content to ur playstyle. we walked backwards on so many things and im afraid we may never get those good things back. i dont need a visual overload that is the new map and all the nodes and where they go. i want to pop in a map and run that shit knowing what all is in it are the things i want. i used to love bossing im og but now im not even going to entertain that thought. even when i kill a boss im just as frustrated and on edge as if i died and lost xp. which dont even get me started on that. i feel like im way too far low level for the time invested in the campaign. i bet there are folks that average one level per hour to get to 60 and thats crazy to me

" +1 to this. My experience (and from long experience with PoE I tend to finish maps before even looking at the special events): #1 Expedition - dynamite trails are bugged and in many new map types (notably rock cave canyons) simply refuse to place anywhere on the playing field. But, once I got one working on a jungle map.... 1-shot from off screen. Since then I've learned to just run as far away as possible until returning as the mobs by then will be attempting to kill the NPC. #2 Mirror. The Mirror spawned at the entrance of the map (cave desert canyons again) totally blocking the way into the map. Spawned four meters from the entry point. So I had to trigger it to advance the map. Luckily I simply kited madly as the timer went down and (minion based) got x2 emotions. But I was forced to do it. #3 Blacksmith Box. These seem the same as I remember and are at least doable. However, they seem to be goverened by the same loot rules as the rest of the server, meaning they are worthless other than XP goodies. I even upgraded one to Rare using an Orb and the drops were still 80% white, 20% blue. I shall not be doing this again. #4 Breach. This one really annoyed me: there was a Rare mob (required to finish the level) near it on a hot springs map. I was very very careful not to walk over it as I had spent orbs on making this Boss room map a 'good one'. Did. Not. Matter. Breach fired by itself when I was perhaps half a screen away and instantly spawned 100+ mobs with no delay or staggered load in. This a) caused my FPS to immediately hit 3-5 (not 30-50, 3-5), b) stopped me from rolling away, c) broke my minion AI and d) about two seconds later killed me. All of these happened on T3-5 Maps, nothing amazing or endgame. All of these events feel like they are placeholders directly copy/pasted from PoE with no changes to mechanics or playstyle - there is simply no way a normal character (not a meta-built broken autocast build) could have done that breach, even if the spawns were staggered in some fashion. Other than that, I enjoy the Atlas mode. But I simply refuse to do *any* event on them due to their lethality and frankly bad coding and really don't enjoy being forced to do them (yes, I could leave the map in cases like #2, but I am poor and have few maps). Same here, I played all day and barely got anywhere. Most of the time I'm just doing maps hoping to get a waystone that is high enough to advance the quest. And if I ever do get one, I have to be lucky that I get another one in that map. But most of the time I don't. Why am I dropping tier 1 waystones on a tier 8 map?
And if I die, it's a whole other story of course. I'm now like 10 levels higher than the monsters in the highest stones I have, so I get almost no xp at all. Dying just once removes all the xp earned on like 3-5 maps or so, and it usually just happens when I finally get a high enough waystone to progress the quest. And before anyone says "git gud", 90% of the time I die it's because of chaos damage. I would love to get more chaos resistance, but nothing ever drops that has any chaos resistance. Oh what's this, something with resistance to all elements dropped? Too bad, it doesn't count for chaos either. Okay might as well socket chaos runes then... but guess what, that's the one element that there's no res rune for! Hmmm, maybe use a chaos essence on a ring or so and hope it gets chaos res? Let's see... yep, I got like 10 different essences but no chaos ones! So I'm stuck with no chaos resistance and everything does chaos damage. The game claims it's the least common element, but in my experience it's by far the most common element. Now I wish I picked the 10% chaos resistance in act 6, but guess what, that's ONE thing in the game that can't be reskilled. I mean I got no issues with a lengthy grind, but it's no fun to lose 1 hour of progress every time something offscreen snipes me with chaos damage. agree with OP 100 PERCENT. Game is in a really bad spot. I gave up and will probably be back in 4-5 months once GGG realizes how to optimize the end game.

Breach is one of the most profitable known sources at the moment. There is time to react, and strategy to not getting encircled. You're skipping the best money making mechanic in the game atm:P
Step 1 is to self reflect.

Honestly it gets much worse when you get to the end maps, substained T15 requires very specific strats and a single death can put you back hours of grinding. You've already made the content punishing by bricking maps on deaths i don't understand why you have to gate the content itself on top of that whit abysmal drop rates of waystones.
