Cast on-meta skills should only with energy build up from Melee Attacks - thoughts?

I'm not sure I agree with you about spellcasting. I watched some guy just cruising around a map with his ranger, using exactly 2 skills to clear it all: fire wall and gas arrow, and those two casts was enough to clear each pack. Literally a lazy couple of seconds.

I have never an experience like that as a 40-something sorceress, and I definitely won't now; I have to spam dozens of spells to clear a pack in 10x or longer the time as that ranger takes.

Same, my friend plays ranger and does the same build.
This seems like the same old GGG changes that always happens. It happened in PoE1 and it's happening again in PoE2 where the spell classes get gutted but ranger class is perfectly fine clearing maps with 2 buttons.

This is probably the worst idea I have ever heard, congrats. This guy is probably getting hired by GGG for such a bad idea

How would you change it? In it's current state it's not usable - the way I see it they're not supposed to be the main damage dealer, just a secondary one.

Either you leave it as is now and forget about it, or you put in sensible roadblocks (not sayin my idea is the answer), just wanted feedback on the idea. So thanks for the semi passive-aggressive comment.

Put a cooldown of 0.25 triggers per second. If that's nmot enough, then increase until it is OR put a damage penalty on a triggered skill. Simple. These are both better solutions than what GGG did and seem like pretty obvious choices to me.

While it sounds perfectly reasonable it'd still hamstring my gameplay style, which might be totally fair - not saying that.

From egotistical POV it'd not change much - but hey, at least that would be better than the current state.

They should just Hire John Riccitiello and charge us 10c every time a skill triggers. Everyone wins.
