Hey, crazy idea. Instead of you ruthless enjoyers completely stonewall any changes, advocate for keeping a game mode that reflects the current gameplay, and let other people have a game they enjoy too? Or is that too radical? I mean I've gotten "get good" thrown after me for about 3 days now, because clearly I'm not a good player, nor do I know what I enjoy doing in my spare time, or have any idea how a good game should look like, it seems. They seem perfectly fine trashtalking me endlessly rather than contending with my arguments, often telling me to "go back to POE1". I could use the same argument for them, "Go back to POE1 ruthless mode". But I won't. I want GGG to have different difficulty modes -CRAZY STUFF that games have had for decades already, to meet different peoples standards of what challenge and pace they enjoy. I can't for the life of me understand why this concept is so difficult for the hardcore elite players to get. I'll even grant you that you are probably better players than me, that you know more about POE, or whatever else you need to assert. That doesn't mean my 1100 dollars into GGG over ten years doesn't buy me at least MY voice in all of this. And all I want is for ALL of us to have an enjoyable game! I agree that feedback is highly distorted. However polling won't get us anything either, due to the averade player having no idea how to design a good video game, players not even giving the game a chance and just complaining it doesn't fit their preconceptions and players having wildly different experiences that need to be addressed seperatly and can't be thrown into one poll. There are many POE2 reddit threads upvoted a lot about this same subject on both sides. its by no means clear at all that the angry POE1 boys are in the majority. LET THE FUCKIN DUST SETTLE, do polling find out how people feel ACCURATELY before you cave in and ruin the game with a bunch of balance destroying irreversible buffs. Complains about angry minority.
