Probably because the skills you chose weren't the best combinations for your build, if you are doing it blind.

Or more unfortunately, the skill wasn't playtested enough and isn't up to the task in that part of the campaign.

Symptoms of early access, basically. I do agree though, stuff is a bit too tanky sometimes. A very minor HP nerf to parts of the campaign where some skills struggle before they release the new supports and skills would be great.

Yes, I am fully aware of that. But I don't understand why they talked about “tone of orbs” in the announcement video. Or about the statement “if you can't craft in the campaign, we've failed”. At least that's my problem with PoE2...

Agree with you to an extent. You can disenchant rares to make regal shards but as soon as the item is 3 mod rare you are pretty much done in the campaign (most of the time). You can get lucky and get a few ex to spend on something that looks like it could be so insane that scaling wouldn't matter, or maybe on items like attribute amulets and res rings, but it's not really enough to say we can "craft rares in the campaign" when we can really only 3 mod them often.

I think this is a symptom of early access problems, the balance is a little off, the sustain isn't there. Many people are "stuck" in a sense where the only way to progress is to speedrun the final act 6 boss or maybe even stuck in the campaign because their choices weren't ones that were playtested at enough breakpoints yet or maybe weren't very good.

It should improve as more skills and supports are introduced to the game and more information comes out allowing us to clear content faster, also need to find a way to sustain maps or for the devs to make it easier.

YOU HAVE 1 character thats lvl 67 with bringer of rain WHAT ARE YOU SKATING OVER your poe 1 knowledge is sooooooooo baddd its like asking a meth dealer if we need police

Check my account age, bro. I've been playing PoE since early release (2014). I delete characters every new league - I don't play every league because PoE1 tends to degrade into slapping loot pinatas in a weird dissociative fugue state for hours which becomes less and less entertaining. It's pretty evident you can't keep up with the novelties added in PoE2. I'd recommend you continue with PoE1 or maybe brick breaker.
