"PoE2 is too difficult, and unrewarding"

I actually played ruthless...its not even close. I had one magic or two magic items for all of act 2. Yall are wild.

" It's really not Ruthless. Ruthless you would have 2 mod magic items from overfarming zones to spam alt bases. This is a lot better/ easier than Ruthless. It really is just a meme to compare them. |

I like how the big counter argument is "well akshually, ruthless was even less fun than this mode they based off of it"

" I'm just saying it's a meme to compare them, it's irrelevant. That's not the argument. The entire point of this thread is to put in perspective that this is where the game starts. Not just our character progression, but what PoE2 will be. I for one, am glad they are starting at the floor, and not the ceiling. If you are having trouble, unfortunately some skills are just worse than others. This will change after tweaks and added supports. You may want to try a different skill combination, if you are finding yours hard to scale. I do wish that the mobs and bosses were a bit less tanky in act 2-3. I don't think we have much power by that point. I also wish the ascendency trials were actually possible at their level. I didn't like having to over-level for Izario, and I don't like doing it for a worse version of Sanctum or Ultimatum. Last edited by AverBeg7#1689 on Dec 10, 2024, 1:31:56 AM

" The problem with dropping more rares is that they become increasingly overlooked. The way things are now, there's a much bigger greater incentive to ID them. I don't know about you, but in PoE1 I always, without a shred of remorse, skate over rares. Hell, I'm even inclined to pick up and ID magics, go through vendor junk, gamble... Personally I think this is a nice change of pace. I've managed to work up a few decent items through varied strategies. And yeah, my character is a bit pokey, I just got to Cruel, but it's done. There's also something to be said about the limited content that EA shipped with, as well. I mean, we've got 3 acts and a little endgame - it makes good sense that they didn't rip the firehose out for several reasons. If they just handed out the keys to the kingdom, people wouldn't be sticking around. They're also effectively elongating the time it takes for people to get from beginning to endgame which seems like it'll be good for analytics since they're essentially running 2x the low-level low-gear data in the same period of time. |

" this game is worse than poe 1 in ever way.. it has better graphics and boss fights sure.. but it has worse gem system most skills are terrible or just dont work.. YOU get zero loot even in endgame maps.. you get 2 rares a map with transmutes augs and maybe so other bubblegum currency.. not a single person even had UBER LAB YET so GL casuals theres nothing fun about poe 2 |

" This is exactly the design they want. They don't want you blasting through to get currency and spam craft bases or buy everything. They want you to be excited by rares that drop because any of them could be an upgrade. People need to treat it like the start of league doing maps looking for res gear. I think most people look for high ele res gear with life or es, and it's really valuable in league start. It's basically going to be that, but for every single type of rare. |
|
" Very nuanced points with a good grasp on what has already been written. Well deserving of the time read. Seriously though, chill out man. You want to find rares/magic and ID them and hope they have good mods so you can slam and pray for upgrades. It doesn't take much currency to do that. If you want to blast juiced maps and farm 20 div an hour to buy an endgame build or spam currency on bases, there is always PoE1. That's the great thing about our benevolent developers GGG, you can have both. |

They have literally deployed a patch an hour ago, so I hope y'all professional whiners can shut up and enjoy the game now ♥
Though realistically they'll just find something else to whine about lol It never ends. HCSSF is the only way. Last edited by Fae_Lyth#6750 on Dec 10, 2024, 2:02:05 AM

" you mean the split dev team that now has to update and make leagues for 2 games which just makes both of them worse in the long run.. yea thats worked out well for other gaming companies in the past |
