"PoE2 is too difficult, and unrewarding"



The problem with dropping more rares is that they become increasingly overlooked. The way things are now, there's a much bigger greater incentive to ID them. I don't know about you, but in PoE1 I always, without a shred of remorse, skate over rares. Hell, I'm even inclined to pick up and ID magics, go through vendor junk, gamble...

Personally I think this is a nice change of pace. I've managed to work up a few decent items through varied strategies. And yeah, my character is a bit pokey, I just got to Cruel, but it's done.

There's also something to be said about the limited content that EA shipped with, as well. I mean, we've got 3 acts and a little endgame - it makes good sense that they didn't rip the firehose out for several reasons. If they just handed out the keys to the kingdom, people wouldn't be sticking around. They're also effectively elongating the time it takes for people to get from beginning to endgame which seems like it'll be good for analytics since they're essentially running 2x the low-level low-gear data in the same period of time.[/quote]

They just made the foundations of an evolution on the ARPG genre, and are still maintaining a beloved game by many.

I agree that currency drops should be buffed. I believe they will be. However, I don't want to go back to having a loot filter in act 5 because of the 700000 drops I don't want to see. There is a happy medium here. I'm sure with additional testing they will find it. But folks need to chill TFO.



Sorry but what they needed was a god tier loot filter like the one Last Epoch has... not treat their player base like they're being punished for wanting to progress in the game and being thrown into a tedious slog fest where you're forced to redo the same boring shit because you need to "gear up" in a game that gives you no gear to gear up with... IN THE FUCKING CAMPAIGN... I mean at endgame I get it but in Act 2 of the campaign that is UNACCEPTABLE!!!


95% of the playerbase will not see endgame... they will get tired by the tedium and they will leave somewhere around Act 3... probably at the second ascension trial which is pure torture because it's based on Ultimatum (another mechanic 99% of the players hated but GGG devs are butthurt and want to prove it was good by force because they're whiny butthurt children)

This game is made by devs that hate their player base... they don't respect us at all... they want to prove a point, not make a good game and their point is ridiculously tone-deaf!!!

Sorry, why is it unacceptable to upgrade gear in the campaign? Have you never played SSF? You need to do that in PoE1 too. Unless you know, you just buy twink weapon and a tabula. Unfortunately yeah, can't do that (yet) I guess.

Not sure why you would want to rush to maps anyway. What do you think you are going to do there? It's the same incremental upgrading and overcoming, you will still have to ID rares and come up with solutions to problems in your build even then.

feels unrewarding. reached endgame and even white maps make me feel like char is complete trash. maps costs are too high compared to what u get.

This is exactly the design they want. They don't want you blasting through to get currency and spam craft bases or buy everything. They want you to be excited by rares that drop because any of them could be an upgrade.

People need to treat it like the start of league doing maps looking for res gear. I think most people look for high ele res gear with life or es, and it's really valuable in league start. It's basically going to be that, but for every single type of rare.




Why would I get excited about getting one rare every 2 hours and 99% of them being useless and only worth one regal shard??? So after 20 hours I have one Regal Orb... yay... what fun...

No, the game is tedious and just forces you to have less and less fun the more you play... every mistake is punished and forces you to redo unchallenging things... they literally are your mommy making you do your chores again and again if your mom was actually a psycho and every time you cleaned your room she went in and messed it up and then made you clean it again...

it's amazing how people defend this shit and how people have become addicted to the punishment and somehow something being fun is irrelevant to them...

Warframe is the least challenging game in the world... but guess what... it's alive for over a decade because it's stupidly FUN!!!

games need to be fucking FUN... they need to reward you with things that get you excited... not punish you and then tell you to redo some boring shit again...

And btw, I don't have "skill issues" I can beat the game just fine and my build is absolutely optimal for my class... I'm just tired of having to do my chores every time I make one wrong move and I die...

I think it is fun to be challenged. I don't like the end of act 2 and 3 being too tanky, we don't really have a lot of power there. Otherwise it's pretty fine.

There is big problems with map sustain if maps are meant to be endgame, they should be sustainable.

The trials are not designed cleanly enough for the difficulty presented at the area level.

These are all valid complaints.
