Evasion Characters Need More for Boss Fights

Evasion is definitely does not work on bosses atm. Moreover, hit damage from them is overtuned. I created a ranger and leveled it to 22lv. I literally cannot kill bosses in act2. Sorc had a twice as much effective HP from energy shield and it was not so obvious. However, if you have no ES and no armor, you just die from EVERY hit, every hit from any boss is a oneshot.

Evasion system need a rework so it would work as defensive stat. Like implementing glancing blows when you can partially evade attack and receive lowered damage. Or some similar mechanic. The damage ATM is insane.

I do like that idea, AoE/slams always "glance" off of you, based upon your chance to evade that attack (based on evade chance, because it also takes their accuracy into account).

EDIT: I will say, though, Deadeye has a lot of defensive options for evasion. If evasion is changed, Deadeye would likely need to be changed as well

Every hit is not a one shot with evasion. You just need more life on your gear. Life is way stronger than armor or evasion or energy shield.

Playing a monk right now with eva/es and I can face tank almost all slams up to act 3 just cause I have life on all gear and I only have like 1 eva/es notable specced.

Now that being said with 50% evasion it feels like I literally never avoid boss hits but I still have no problem surviving.

Slams are not able to be evaded, but they're telegraphed so you can dodge them. You can evade them if you take the keystone by the dex stacking area to be able to evade all hits, but you lose 70% evasion.

Unfortunately there are plenty of slams that are borderline unavoidable too. Molten gold boy has several slams that just seem to hit you no matter what even if you dodge.

You have no problem surviving because you have energy shield and ghost dance. Every character class has access to the same amount of life (except warrior). So if bosses are designed to be able to kill armour and energy shield characters, who have the same amount of life as I do, how do I survive when I have the same amount of life and no defences?

Yeah, the tracking on a lot of these slams is intense. It might not be as bad for a deadeye, who has tailwind and thus tons of movespeed. But as a lowly Pathfinder, trying to time every slam perfectly as to not get hit once is exhausting.

Wrong, ES is gone almost constantly and I have almost no ES anyway. Just get life. The bosses are easy you can just auto attack them with basic attack and never die unless you run out of potions with life on gear.

Evasion is a defense. When you evade you take 0 damage. What are you saying? You're a ranger, stay out slam range and dodge when you see the telegraphed wind up/cue when they slam. Like I did on my ranger.
