Yes, another one of those threads
I don't see how they can resolve this issue without introducing multiple difficulty levels. Personally I enjoy it the way it is and even would like to see some of the bosses that die too quickly to fully experience their mechanics to become more tanky. However I understand that the game is on the challenging side of things (finally a game thats fun from start for me!) and that there are players for whom it is too challenging.

As a "professional complainer" I've been banging on the game for a bit. I have a feeling that much of the problems is that many of us are effectively playing SSF at this point.
To the best of my knowledge the PoE2 website might (?) be working but I know I haven't used it much and I've mostly wasted my currency trying to craft myself when I could get "someone's leftovers" for a comparative minimal cost. It may sound odd to leverage the trade side so soon but I think it's intended to be harder AND it's intended to use the trade site as early as day two or three to smooth out the rough edges in builds. |

" This is exactly where I am at. No I am not the best gamer, I am 60 years old. So too bad for me. I have success at every other arpg you can name for thousands of hours, but I literally cannot play this game anymore as I am stuck on a stupid boss that is zero fun! Hopefully, GGG is not ready to write off tons of casuals and double down on this. Will give it time and see what happens. |

I agree with most of the points in this thread.
Boss fight are long and tedious grind and even when you kill the boss the only feeling you have is the gratitude that it's finally over and you're really not looking forward to the next one. Loot is terrible. You've killed the boss and the drop is just rubbish but ok, I can at least have the mats from it. No, because the game crashes before you pick it up and you are kicked out to the check point and the loot is gone. You kill the boss again and all you get is white, a couple of Wisdom Scrolls and and a few coppers. ...and the mandatory dodge-roll everywhere.... :/ But saying all this... We all have to realise that they've sold over a million EA bundles, so that's $30 and up each. I will let you do the math. They won't really care now. What they will stick to are twitch streamers and "hardcore" gamers. They will lock themselves in an echo chamber that will keep telling GGG that they do a great work and that's the way forward. I've seen a video this morning saying that they already planning on nerfing some skills because they do too much damage. The gameplay will get even more tedious and boring. There will be some tweaks and adjustments but I'm really not expecting much. |
