Thanks for trying GGG. After about 20k hours in POE 1, POE 2 just is not it.

It’s the best game ever created. POE2 will be a monument for all aspiring developers to see that says “this is a real game for real gamers”

As for engaging fights, rolling around in circles avoiding AOE mindlessly isn't engaging, it sure is boring though. I hit cruel, realized it was repeating and ended my run there as the rewards were mostly crap, the bosses were mostly bland and spammed the same few things over and over and my build took almost no thought. As much as this team is begging to be dark souls, their boss fights need significant work to come close to anything FromSoft made and that also isn't really why ARPGs far as I Can tell are played. Killing large hoards of enemies and loot was the ARPG flow, if you want some complex boss fights, many other far better games out there.

You do realize your mom playing Candy Crush is considered just as much of a gamer as you are right? No matter what your xbox cod lobbies say. It really tickles me people try to call themselves real gamers as if this has relevance outside of the chat forums you beg for attention on.

Game will cater to whoever pays the most, real games or not. Beat the campaign, games boring, enough said.

The best thing is that POE1 players literally funded the development of PoE2 that wasnt even directed at them...

Player numbers will drop with D4 S7 and i don't see how in the long run the game will have that many more players than POE 1 a few years from now after the hype dies.

I'm curious to see how all these new players will support PoE2 for years like PoE1 players did with PoE1...

I mean..I kind of agree, it is lacking in some areas and the gameplay loop isn't really rewarding atm for several reason. Kind of a time sink for no reward, I'm still grinding though 😅

This is why D4 is bad.

Gave it a shot, made it to act 3 but I too am done. I've been a big fan and advocate of poe1 but this just feels frustrating, unnecessarily difficult and wasn't as much fun as I wanted it to be. I liked and enjoyed poe1 because of how the game play style was. Poe2 ... it just feels like a different game.

Oh well. Off to better things in life.

To be fair that was the original plan: a poe 1 expansion offering a new campaign alongside the existing one and a graphical update of path of exile. The announcement of that idea immediately made me buy the highest tier supporter pack (orion). But that supporter money, alongside with so many other people who had the same thoughts, went into developing a different game with few ties to the first when it comes to core gameplay mechanics.

Yes, blizzard's had D3 and D4 since D2

PoE needs to update itself with PoE2. You can't keep running a 10 yr old game, makes sense to update it.

But this ain't PoE2, I don't know what this
