Thanks for trying GGG. After about 20k hours in POE 1, POE 2 just is not it.
" If they want to make a Different game, woulda been best to not call it PoE2 cause, that usually implies it's a sequel, which would mean I'd expect similar things. This is a Dark Souls clone missing all the good things from Dark Souls and PoE. I got to cruel and it's just boring. Monster Hunter, Elden Ring, Dark Souls, Bloodborne, all do what PoE2 desperately wants to, better in every way. |

" It wasnt promised means what it means, it just wasnt. You call Mass Effect niche? The best to date Fallout is New Vegas thats has nothing from the original gameplay wise. Mass Effect 2 is regarded as the best in frenchise. Dota 2 is actually the first one since Dota was just a mod, that I would call bad comparison. You knew for like what? 3 years? That PoE2 will be new game and not just upgrade for PoE1. What harm you talk about? PoE1 isnt going anywhere. PoE2 doesnt affect the first one in the slightest. You are here because you prefer walking simulator over engaging fights. I hope that answered your questions. |

" i agree. if you go that different, it should be a new IP. it's not that it's bad.. it's that i dont feel like im playing a poe game. also weird that chris eric and jonathan arnt shareholders at all anymore, interesting timing. 100% tencent now according to that "New Zealand Companies Office" website. The Soul’s crowd won’t stick around once they’ve beaten the game. They’re off to the next challenge. They don’t want to grind another character, they want a new challenge. So who’s going to be left playing this game in a year or two? The same people who got you here. Not the souls crowd. hope they wake up and realize that before it gets too late.

I can play the game, I can get through the zones, I can beat the bosses, But it's just not fun..
I personally play Arpg's for Loot, Loot is my addiction lol, it's why I have 100 stash tabs in POE1 haha I am a loot hoarder. and there is just no loot in poe2 and my character never feels strong, it's just not fun to me. I am happy for those who are enjoying it, but I would not go back and play a league if it stays the same as it is right now. |

" I don't even want to bother grinding a new character for how much of a tedious slog the campaign was. In PoE1 repeating the campaign wasn't an issue cause I spent time learning how to do it fast and it was at best 10 hours, this just isn't true here and you don't even get access to half the skill till lv 40 so I will pretty much be repeating the same few handful of leveling builds over and over if I make a new one. Also with crucial upgrades being scattered around a mostly empty map in terms of stuff to "explore" I wonder why the maps are as large as they are as it adds nothing but a tedious commute that now respawns if you die to a random rare mob you didn't know was rare cause there is no outlines. No real motivation to keep playing, beat the acts, playing in cruel, same old tedium. |
|
" Lets wait first. POE1 wouldnt be the first game surviving its successor. It will be interesting to see if POE1 or POE2 gets more people to return every 3-4 months. If POE1 remains the fanfavourite it could get "visual updates" and finally more devtime again. It could be them changing poe2 more to be like poe1. But maybe there are enough people enjoying poe2. Time will tell. Last edited by camar1s#6601 on Dec 9, 2024, 2:19:50 PM

"Your expectations are not GGG's responsibility. I, for one, don't like pressing too many buttons. That doesn't make me unskilled, lazy, complacent or whatever other descriptor you are trying to pluck from your vocabulary. - Unknown philosopher, ca. 2025

" Pretty brain dead response. I fail to see how it is illogical to assume a sequel would be relevant to the first one. Devs are just desperately wanting to make a FromSoft game but are forever shackled to an ARPG. Thing is it's pretty weak as far as souls games go. |

"You might be right. We're arguing about subjective matters. Not the best way to have a constructive dialogue. |
