Thanks for trying GGG. After about 20k hours in POE 1, POE 2 just is not it.

Just feels like another game ruined by the influence of souls like games. It did not have to be this way. I guess it might appeal to the newer generation of gamers, but I just can not see myself dumping 20k more hours in this game. Even the 4 hours I played was a chore.

I'm also not enjoying PoE2 as much as I'd like to.

It is still in EA, and I know that, but I expected better from GGG.

I just wish they hadn't early-released this overtuned slog-fest with no loot.

- Need more loot/more currency
- Less sluggish gameplay
- No more narrow areas where mobs can gang bang you easily

I think they only way this will work out with both poe1 and poe2 alive is that the games stay vastly different. We do not need a newer poe1. Engine upgrades are trickling down anyways, and its the fix for those zoomzoom players.
Poe2 currently just needs more loot, specially at bosses. It feels wierd fighting a five minute fight to loot 1 blue and 50 gold.

Well, actually, this was promised by the developer, and PoE players were genuinely expecting it. I’m not talking about those who started playing PoE after hearing about it from streamers a week before PoE 2's release. And yes, developers often do this. Dota became Dota 2, which later switched to a new engine without turning into a platformer. CS 1.6 became CS 2 after going through CS:GO, also without altering the essence of the game. The Civilization series doesn’t change its genre with every new part. There are plenty of examples like this. What are you even talking about?

Honestly, I'm surprised that my personal opinion took a 180 when I reached the end of Act 2. This is where I started to run into trouble. I'm still waaaay too undergeared. Stupid Dreadnought was starting to test my patience with these Mach 2 dunking bullshit mobs. The boss fight isn't particularly difficult, it is just such a slog now. These constant battles of endurance are starting to get to me after around 16 hours. I really took my time, explored every nook and cranny, waiting for these "constant upgrades as you progress through the campaign", but they still haven't arrived. I have literally 3 rares to my name that I can use, 1 of which isn't even for my build spec, but it has Spell Damage on it. The lack of gear is now starting to incur a heavy cost on my enjoyment that I legit had up until that point. The difficulty imo isn't the problem. It's the fact that basically nothing drops.

Edit: AND WHERE THE FUCK DO I GET SPIRIT FROM other than those garbage aura maces.

As poe1 still exists and will get new content and leagues, no.

It's shocking these people can't accept change and developing a game series

They just want the same game with updated visuals.
