Please add a lower difficulty at some point.

I think the only 'reward' for playing on higher difficulties should be achievements, not in game item drops. Making good loot drop more for people who already play for 100's or 1000's of hours isn't the best solution, IMO. If anything, it's the casuals who need the better loot, haha. The experts can struggle through with only their grit.
Players in "easy mode" could just have disabled achievements or a totally different set of them to collect from those in "hard mode." That way, the try hards keep their bragging rights, and the casual dads get to have fun. Last edited by seti2323#1585 on Dec 8, 2024, 10:44:48 PM

they need to remove the ruthless concepts from poe2 and make it its own mode. with the popularity of ruthless im sure it wont divert most of the player base away to a more enjoyable game.

I think its as easy as it ever should be, outside of some mob balancing issues and maybe smoothing some difficulty spikes. Harder difficulties wouldn't hurt anything at all though.
The thing is, once you work out what you're doing wrong, the bosses are pretty straight forward, the mobs are easy until you hit one that is just 50x harder than the others for some reason, but I am sure that will get smoothed out, its day 3 after all. | |

Simple solution: introduce a new server option called "Adventure." Like Hardcore, SSF, League, etc, it would be completely self-contained with its own economy. Players in Adventure mode could enjoy reduced difficulty, but everything earned there would stay there.
With Adventure mode isolated, players seeking a more casual experience can have it without impacting the economy of the other servers. That's honestly the only way something like this could ever work. |

" Rubbish games do it all the time... If this stays this game will die, its not up for debate, it will die. We don't live in a world were the masses will grind through a 40+ hour slog fest and then redo it as seasons change. less than 10% will make end game before launch. |

" Source: It once appeared to me in a dream. I don't know where you're getting the 40 hours from. You don't have to talk to most NPCs to progress, you can skip conversations, and if you don't kill an important optional boss, the next one will carry its loot as well. With knowledge, you'll be able to blast through the campaign in a couple hours. I'm leveling a second character, and I'm going through the campaign 5x faster on a class I'm playing for the first time. I have to spend time reading tooltips and think about my spell/gem combinations, and yet it's going really fast. |
