Shock Stacks // Ignite // Freezing - Why is ignite the black sheep
Why is it that burning/ignite is the only one of these elemental ailment effects that has a negative effect.
Shock stacks = amazing Freezing = CHILL + Freeze and ignite = 4/3 burn damage on the skill that ignited, + It makes a few monsters spread out and run away... Why is their a negative effect on ingited, while the other two are so amazing. This thread has been automatically archived. Replies are disabled.

Someone once said it should reduce monster accuracy, which I thought was a good idea.

Think outside the box: So they run, how can you turn that into an advantage?
oh i know, link a elemental proliferation gem to the skill that causes burning effect, and watch the runaway mobs spread the fire all over the area. |

" I know I use a firetrap build, but it would be a shit ton more viable if they didn't spread out like a whore octopus |

that`s because he is in his special troll-week-of-the-month, letting of steam today or whatever.
Just ignore him and he`ll get bored soon enough. The Ignite can get some pretty crazy dot-damage rollin if setup right, depending on your build even the "flee"-effect is great (cc). Shock-stacks should only increase lighning damage, freezing should get the same sorta diminishing returns as stun...the problem is not ignite imho, but the other stat-effects beeing a tad to strong. Just my 2 cents...while beeing realy glad bout my trap/FB/Inc-Fire-Caster with emphasis on big-hits and big-dot-damage. |

I once tossed together a proposal to slightly change burn, here. I'm not really sure that's the right thing for burn at the moment. TL;DR: Extended duration, fractional stacking, less initial burn, and for very long burns, much higher burn. "Starts with a flicker, ends with roar."
