Shock Stacks // Ignite // Freezing - Why is ignite the black sheep
" Yeah, the fact that burning damage works better for blackgleam using bow-users than most pure fire spells speaks volumes toward the mechanic. |

theres also detonate dead, fire trap and infernal blow (i know i know, you will say that infernal blow is not a spell). All 3 hit hard and make use of the ignite fairly well. But there you go, slow hard hitting spells that does fire damage

Just gonna say burning damage can be very valuable.
A fire trap -> elemental prolif -> chance to burn -> Increased aoe -> Iron will -> Fire pen build, with flammability curse, running it on searing touch + cloak of flames, this thing is one shotting entire groups of mobs that are 7 levels above me. And its as simple as stacking burning damage |

" Burning damage is awesome. Fireball + Elemental Proliferation + Increased Burning Damage + Concentrated Effect alone, let alone with two other gems, produces a hilariously strong DoT that spreads quite readily (assuming you add more + to burning damage via passives or items like Searing Touch). The problem is that this setup, or maybe some sort of setup with Searing Bond or Fire Trap, are the only ways to produce good amounts of burn damage; all the other skills, like Firestorm, produce garbage ignites. Furthermore, at least to my understanding, burning damage is the only elemental effect that does not play well with the ubiquitous GMP/LMP. But using static blows and some lightning damage is going to end up being far better, since shock stacking is retarded OP (static blows is outrageously overpowered and definitely needs a nerf imo).
