Blood Mage Sanguimancy with Blood Magic doubles life cost

On my Blood Mage my spells cast with Sanguimancy ascendancy node costs around 150 life + 150 mana.

When I spec Blood Magic the cost becomes 300 life, so my spell costs me 1/3rd of my hp to cast.

I expected that Blood Magic would turn the mana cost into life cost (150 mana -> 150 life) and then since i have no mana cost, that would be it. But instead it stacks the life cost two times.

Yes i would expect the same - acording to logic and poe.
Idk if this is bug or feature.
This feels extremely punishing atm.
It should work like in poe 1 with The Covenant.
I hope this gets changed.

This doesn't seem intended with how the logic works, it doubles the penalty of the ascendancy.

Moreover, the spell damage of sucking blood by 10% has not had any practical effect, and the sublimation of blood mages now seems like a burden! This is a failed profession
GGG please fix this
GGG PLEASE 🙏
Its doubles because the Blood Magic CONVERTED150 of mana cost to life cost...so 150 (life cost on the skill) + 150 (converted mana to life cost) = 300
It's obviously a bug, and a huge one. When you take sanguimancy, the text on your abilities is changed to state the cost as x mana and x life, and then casting the abilities costs around 2x life and x mana. Also, refunding the perk doesn't reverse the life cost, so if you refund and reallocate sanguimancy the health cost STACKS. I did it a couple times to test my theory and my character is now UNPLAYABLE with most of my spells costing over 100hp to cast each
well that is indeed a pity. I hoped this would solve my Mana instead i pay 300 HP per second. The 10% Leech cant rly make up for it.
This Ascendency then requires Vaal Pact to be usable which is very far away.
Don't rly know what to do now with the Blood Mage since Blood Mage + Blood Magic was my base plan.
Its my first Char and i just hit Maps to find that out.
GGG probably tested this interaction since its so obvious... so this outcome might be what they intended
