Loot is awful

Loot definitely feels like Ruthless almost but the drop rate of augmentation and exalted orbs feels much higher so it's better to craft loot rather than rely on a drop. IDK it feels odd but rewarding by sticking to something good you make.


I have less augs than transmutes, and haven't even seen an exalted yet.
I'd be fine with crafting vendor gear from scratch or something but there aren't enough crafting materials to even do that.

I remember during the last livestream Mark even said something about Exalts being bumped up to drop more often but I've only seen like two of them. Where's all the crafting drops?

Killing the boss is not reward enough. I can't get the resists I want, I can't find +life on anything. I still don't have MS boots. I've seen so few rares in the first two acts I think I've gotten a single regal orb from disenchanting... in total.

Loot is bad, and it's making this game feel worse than it should.

It's an incredible game, it should feel so much more fun than this. But instead of being excited for possible loot drops from bosses, I just groan at the next bullet sponge that I have to run circles around.

I want to be clear, I enjoy this game. But there's no way I would want to do this again on a league restart.

Even just a simple drop rate boost would help a bit. Went through almost an entire zone with barely a white item dropping.
Gold is also too rare to be useful as is, and vendor inventory only refreshing every level-up also doesn't help (items very expensive, but also, not very useful most of the time... gambling could be useful but way too expensive compared to amount of gold you have)
i like the loot, reminds me of diablo 2. shit was actually rare when you got something and it felt good. it feels good to me. I HATE LOOT SHOWER. I HATE GARENTEED UNIQUES. I HATE EASY
+1 basically we just need more crafting mat drops, the fact that they told us there would be tons and I've dropped maybe 5 exalts and 10 regals in over 20 hours just tells me something is bugged. Much of the game's difficulty would be way more tolerable with better gear, which can be made with more mats.
Check vendors!

They have +2 or +3 to gems weapons all the time. I found a +3 to all spell blue staff that I crafted into a decent rare.

Gem scaling seems very strong for all types of builds.
Imagine making a Hack'n Slay and it lacks on Loot :DDD

Focus on crafting gear is OK but, in a level-based item system that only works for the "endgame". During leveling items need to be changed too frequently for crafting to be useful for the current crafting costs.

* Increase item drops making sure that quality spread covers all required crafting materials for that level bracket. "win-win" -- chance for exciting drops and bad-luck prevention via crafting. That must be done keeping in mind that players need/want to experiment with different stats and builds.
It should never be easier/faster to start from scratch than re-farming mats, gems, and gold for a different build.

* Another option is increasing material drop rates directly (and/or only drop materials like Warframe) but that's IMO less "exiting" for the ARPG player base.

* Have option to upgrade level of the item not just rarity with all associated stat boosts. Hard to balance though.

Also remove "gambling" vendor, RNG vendors are bad mechanic and "trap" for inexperienced players.
