But who is this game for?
|
I don't understand why the title of this project has the number 2 in it. Is it a sequel? Is it a game for the fans who have supported you for so many years? Or is it just an attempt to cash in on a well-known name and shove in tired trends like the Souls-like garbage? Why?
You seem to have designed the gameplay for hardcore players, but for some reason, everything else has been cut out. Where is the proper crafting? Why was this gold system introduced? It's terrible. Did you even test what you ended up with? Why are there no potions and for movement speed? Huge locations where you have to run for ages, and if mobs surround you, you can't even escape... even in Dark Souls, there's a sprint, but not in PoE 2... Honestly, I thought it was impossible to make a game worse than Diablo 4, but you guys surprised me... it's very painful, a huge disappointment. There is very little faith in the project because there is too much that needs fixing. And the main thing is that D4 showed that making slow gameplay is a mistake, and here we are. Why didn't you listen to those who have supported you for so many years and create a game that they want? Who is this Dark Exile for? You certainly got your money, but you definitely damaged your reputation. Last bumped on Dec 7, 2024, 4:48:01 PM

Answering your question: It is game for people that like this type of game, but without zoom zoom combat.
There are 2 things, one is combat difficulty and another is build depth. This is game for people who want both, there is no such game in the market right now except Poe 2. I personally love this, and it's not garbage just because you hate the taste of it. This is how innovation looks like, most don't understand it at first. Why do you want to revert this, instead of respecting the design and going back to play other games? As you can probably understand now, for people like me you just sound absurd, their reputation is better than ever right now. |

Once again, this is for people who have no issue with Ruthless.

Ruthless players.
There's dozens of them! |
|
" Not for you, clearly. The real question is if GGG will bend over for people like you that don't even want the game that's being presented. If they give up all integrity like Blizzard did with D4 and just appeal to the lowest common denominator, then yes, their reputation will be damaged. Currently? Reputation is doing just fine. |

Have to agree with OP.
This isn't an ARPG, it's a souls-like. It just is. I'm glad People enjoy it, genuinely am. I would just prefer they advertise it properly. |
|
" Why not just bring back ruthless then and attract a wide player-base? I mean, they also make many systems more accessible for new players but it's completely contradictive here. |

And we all saw how "popular" Ruthless was/is. /s

but we knew about this for literally years?
it has been stated hundreds of times that poe 2 is for a different audience and not for people who enjoy poe 1 why are people so surprised? anyway, I think poe 2 is easier than poe 1 if you can use your hands effectively "buff grenades" - Buff Grenades (Buff-Grenades) Last edited by auspexa#1404 on Dec 7, 2024, 3:30:29 PM

" I for one am not surprised. That people who would buy a game without looking at the massive amount of media detailing what the game would be like, only basing their purchase off of hype, are the same people that want the game dumbed down to the same slop we've been getting force fed for the better part of a decade.
