Explain 6L probability

Well the obvious option you're leaving out is that GGG want it to be a difficult item to obtain. They don't want people to be able to aqcuire the best links/sockets without a lot of effort.

I don't really agree with that since it means you can't reliably craft your own(even with immense wealth)... I do understand their reasoning though.

Of course there's a C. It's there because they don't want 6L to become the standard. It's exceptional. You don't need a 6L, so don't worry if you don't get one. But if you do, or when you do if you play enough, you'll feel like you've gotten something really special. If the best were easily obtained, it wouldn't be special to get it.

imo, 6L should be a progression item and, together with 5L, more or less a standard item available for all participating players, not only for a) and b) players.

Everyone has the same chance of getting one, thus it's entirely fair. The chances are low so as to make sure that 6L items are rare, which is appropriate since most builds can manage with a 4L or 5L, and the very best items in any ARPG should be rare.

Given enough time, and GGG do intend this game to be around for a while, and the fact that both Default and Hardcore are permanent leagues, all you have to do to get a 6L is keep playing the game. Of course, that can be rather difficult when you're busy tossing about hyperbole on the forums.

Yes, I thought about this as well. But for some reason in game links always follow same S pattern.I think it doesn't matter because with this four 6L combinations you will get as many as 4x of all other non 6L combinations, which would give you the same probability anyway

I already explained why there is only 1 six link pattern possible. The game is not considering pairs of sockets and rolling if they are linked or not.

The only way you can get six links is if when it rolls "how many other sockets are linked to socket #1" it gets 5 as the answer. When it gets that answer it links them using the one and only pattern that it will ever use.

It probably rolls by not the odds for a 6link, but a zero link first, then works it's way up. Therefore the odds are 1 in 1,000+ or .001%. think that's worse odds the even diablo.

Getting 6l with single fusing is 50% chance.
