It even lost more importance, once you stacked some chromatics on your stash. Sometimes, not so seldom, I loot 3 and more chromatics in one run through 'the cave' (as orbs and itemized)...

The shop resets when you level up, or after 24 hours. That doesn't include the "always in stock" items like the expensive Orb of Fusing which Yeena always has.
