T17 needs a re-work

Honestly that's the beauty of t17 maps. t1-16 allows you to just head empty alc&go while t17 sort of gives you a punishment of diminishing returns if you have to roll your maps a lot with chaos. In other words it really does add encouragement to build a good character in order to lower the reroll times, or just go right into juiced t17 maps which are going to drop more than enough to come up even for a large quantity of map rerolls.
Flames and madness. I'm so glad I didn't miss the fun.
They do need a rework - but not in the map itself but rather the stupid atlas tree with cancerous stuff like Back to Basics.

You guys are applying layers of multipliers to the difficulty of the map because the streamer has done so and produced gigantic lootsplosions - except that streamer is a billionaire in the game wealh terms and can afford any build. You will get your hopes and your character crushed mercilessly in a 17 map with BTB and map effect stacked.

League reveal and patch notes is in 4 days. I can bet a lot of money that BTB isn't staying in the game in its current form. It will either be axed for good or drastically changed.
If T17 stays the only map tier worth playing then I hope we get more maps with different layouts. Where is my T17 "dunes" ???
They feel really unreasonable to me. In particular I hate the fact that it LIED about the units in it. I frogged EVERY stack in the lantern, and there's still a bunch of enemies. I really don't appreciate being lied to. If I replace every stack with frogs and don't put in any othe rmap mechanics, it shouldn't be adding other troops to the map.

The foes are also ridiculously damaging, especially considering it's blocking the absolutely vital 5th map slot. The 5th slot shouldn't be locked behind something so hard for regular folk. Lots of people can't make it that far, and they shouldn't be held back given how much the 5th map slot affects things.

The traps are also ridiculous; getting randomly one shot by traps that aren't visible is just plain terrible design. I think it was some sort of exploding barrels which were obscured by the monsters so you couldn't see them.

It's way too big of a jump from t16 influenced maps; you need more intermediate content rather than pushing stuff for the crazy power builds.

maybe i'm wrong but i actually felt insulted when the boss dropped the 10c fragment...it took so much time and effort to re-roll a character and build defenses like 100% spell suppress etc and then after all this effort i finally kill the boss and i get 10 chaos as a reward...it felt bad.

you killed one boss and complain that it rolled the 10c frag? lul.

it averages out. I ran couple hundred of t17 maps and actually farmed Catarina because she had a bias towards the more expensive fragments (maven and uuelder). She is one of the harder bosses in there but she was doable with my build that is about 250 div or so.

Boss fragments themselves pay for the map and chaos orbs used to reroll shit mods. Loot in the map itself was a nice added bonus (a ton of scarabs usually).
