Did you play D2? What was your favourite class?

Paladin - Zealer, simply because he was super fast with a sword and a tank with proper Life leach.
Paladin - Hamerdin Barbarian was the first class I played, and for a long tim it was the only one I played, so yeah, Whirlwind Barb was also great. Just tons of fun was Frenzy Barb, when you were going 200mph :D, good fun. I'm actually thinking of revisiting D2 since D3 didn't really hit the right spot. |

Meleemancer, followed closely by Shaolin Monk (staff-wielding assassin) and then Cleric (holy-bolt/meditation Paladin).
If I like a game, it'll either be amazing later or awful forever. There's no in-between.

Aw thanks, yeah I've been waiting a while to see this picture in play. :)
I played the necromancer on the D2 closed beta, a lot. I knew the moment I tried him that he'd be my 'main,' even if I really hate using minions. I think the D2 necromancer was one of the best classes in any ARPG: he could do so much. Curses, direct damage, self-buffs, and of course pets. I had four 'necromancer' characters in my regular roster and none of them were even vaguely alike. If I like a game, it'll either be amazing later or awful forever. There's no in-between.

Summoner Necromancer.
It felt cool to have an army of minions doing massive damage while I teleported on top of enemies. I still have a level 91 Necromancer on the Europe server. "A communion...but with what? Bowazon with Strafe, hands down the best way for me to play: Cackling like a madman while I mowed down my enemies to the sound of metal.
And, holy guacamole, Charan-man, this is one wicked avatar. Where can I steal one? Oo (On the other hand, my skelly would be overjoyed with a bit of an azure glow in his eye sockets. That way, he could read in the dark, no?) 12/12/12 - the day Germany decided boys are not quite human.

Well, yes I did play d2. However, never to the extent as most seem to have played. I never researched about these different specs (that people seem to have been using all the time). I think I played through the game on the second difficulty (Nightmare was it?). I did, however, like to fiddle around and try out my own specs.
Anyways, my favorite was the Sorc, in all her different aspects (as much as I could do, never had a char past 60). My favorite was a lightning sorc. |

Frenzy barb was definitely my favorite. Traveling across entire maps at the speed of light while clearing huge mobs in seconds with ridiculous on-hit properties on weapons.
On-hit is too much fun. Second favorite would probably be frozen orb sorceress, that skill was really awesome. On par with some of the frost wall combos possible in PoE. |
