i tried Citadel 3 times today

1.try : Maven was with me and healed the boss until out of portals

2.try : some orbs grabbed me and destroyd me.. got the boos into 3rd(?) phase until out of portal

3.try : spend like 150 chaos rolling... did not realize that bossroom can be 50% full of desecraded ground.. tried to lure the boss away but he always went back and instahealed

4. try : will sell my T17's so i can atleast get something for them :P

Unless you have the dps to burst her down you need to know the mechanics of the fight.

Before those "adds" come crawling for you you can run over them to prevent them from spawning(she spawns multiple on ground and after a short moment you can pop your quicksilver and run over all of them and you are safe)

It also helps having good life/es recovery so you don't die to accidentally running through a few green beams. Other than that the only dangerous thing is the delayed hit she does where you have to wait for her to jump before you dash out otherwise she just repeats it with increased damage per time you have dashed too soon. It works the same way that catarina does in betrayal.

You're overestimating your character's damage mitigation (not avoidance) by a lot. Having no quality on your main 6l gems and using flasks from act 4 probably doesn't help.


Unsure what inc quality on an active damage skill will do for defense, but okay to each his own.

The matter still stands this content is by no means a good "bridge" between t16 and ubers.

I would love to know what % of the playerbase has been able to clear even a single T17 map.

Quality on gems means you get more damage which then frees up passives for defensive options. Failing at basic mechanics but complaining about new difficult content does not add up.
I think the biggest issue is the relation between t17 maps and uber bosses.

Id say it would been fine in perception if uber bosses would have been more difficult with buffed drops or the uber uniques generally buffed.
Right now the uber uniques arent worth it at all and the drop chance for a decent one is still very small.

Based on the communication from the linked interview it wasnt a design success as a bridge between normal and uber content. When the "bridge" content is harder than the other side its supposed to bridge i think there needs to be a little redesign for uber bosses and their drops

You are not explaining the full picture. What were the map mods? How much physical and elemental max hit can you take before being 1 shot? Do you have damage avoidance? Do you have very good life recovery?

I am able to full clear t17s deathless on an off-meta build designed by my self in SSF so I don't think this post is true at all, in fact is is rather misleading. It is not designed for new players.

One had something like: mobs got ~130% more hp, 50%es as hp, ~40% more dmg and maven interfere. (seemed like an easy mod combo compared to the others dunno if im correct)

Second one had 180% of phys taken as extra elemental dmg, extra mob block dmg and some other.

My ehp is 120k, max phys taken 20k, max ele dmg taken 92k, 15% from phys taken as elemental, no extra dmg from crits. (this is without any flasks)

Any info would be greatly appreciated cause this is one of my tankiest characters and it's just getting deleted :|
