Hey GGG, put a 5 second request sent timer on the trade page already
" Disagree. You contact one person, wait a minute, if he does not trade, go to the next. But these insta-gratification adhd kids don't have the patience to wait a bit, and show disrespectful behaviour by spamming dozens of people at the same time. There should be a serious time limit before you can contact a next player with a buy whisper. Heart of Purity

" No. Practically no one reacts, trading is "throw enough **** against the wall, just hope that at least something sticks". It's YOUR (if you're a seller) and GGGs fault, not the buyers fault. Both sellers and GGG have to learn to respect buyers time. Last edited by navigator4223#0403 on Jan 30, 2024, 2:34:12 AM

To all the folks thinking this is a bad idea...
Thank you for proving my point on "patience". |

I think you shouldn't even be allowed to whisper anyone at all to trade, it's so distracting when I've spent 15 minutes trying to kill Merveil in act 1 and then a whisper comes though and I have to stop what I am doing to stand still to read it and then I die.
Please make trading like it used to be when you had to reply to threads on the forum or PM people to buy things, it was so much better then without all these entitled people who don't want to wait 12 hours to buy something. Last edited by Randall#0850 on Jan 30, 2024, 5:15:47 AM

" Why? You're not respecting their time when you make them waste portals or lose charges/resources of their build just for you to decline the invite. What makes you think they should respect your time in response? So yes, I do think a 5 second rate limit on the "direct message"-button would be great because this does not just happen on 5c items but people pull this shit on 10d awakened gems and 50d watcher's eyes. " Why would you leave the map before they accepted, you're just wasting your own time. You lose a fraction of a second when you invite someone and they don't accept, that's it. Last edited by Randall#0850 on Jan 30, 2024, 5:42:04 AM

" Just fyi I've had plenty of people leave my party and hideout during the first minute this league when I was doing stuff like elder, a fight you literally can't leave early but please, tell me again how that's my fault. Last edited by Scarletsword#4354 on Jan 30, 2024, 5:28:58 AM

" I always assume people won't hang around, especially for some generic item they can get from hundreds of other people and don't bother inviting them if I can't leave quickly. Seems to work just fine. Last edited by Randall#0850 on Jan 30, 2024, 5:40:11 AM

People are getting bogged down....and again thinking not at all about the other side.
It's NOBODY'S fault: the seller is correct in feeling disappointed when a buyer disappears. It's also correct that the seller should NOT be worried about the buyer's timeframe. The seller doesn't HAVE to nor should they be expected to respond immediately; they shouldn't have to go on dnd if they can't trade for 5 minutes, and they also shouldn't HAVE to message anything to the buyer (that's more of a courtesy thing if you are busy). It is EQUALLY TRUE that the BUYER is correct in choosing NOT to wait for one seller. Remember...the only information the buyer receives is that an item is up for sale. They do NOT know whether you are going to respond to them in 5 seconds, in a minute, in 5 minutes, or not at all. It is not at all disrespectful for them to message as many folks as possible, especially if it saves them time: the EXACT SAME THING you are asking for!!!! No one is entitled to anything in this game. As a seller, you aren't "entitled" to a trade with the first person that whispers you. As a buyer, you aren't "entitled" to the item you whisper for. 99% of circumstances, everything goes smoothly, especially in the REAL multi-div trades and such. But lower trades for common items and bulk items....OF COURSE the buyer is going to bulk whisper. Buyers should NOT be punished for working within the system given to them. Sellers should NOT be punished for wanting to play the game at their own pace. Trades will still happen. Get over it. My recommendations: Sellers, we typically over-estimate our "worth" in the market. For every item we put up for sale, there are hundreds of others like it. In 99% of cases. It is EXPECTED that a buyer is not just contacting one random person. So if you REALLY REALLY REALLY want to trade every time, make yourself available and don't feel personally attacked if a buyer drops. They are JUST as busy and needy as you are. Sellers should not be concerned about the buyer, insofar as completing a trade. Buyers, if we receive a personal message from a seller we backed out on...its common courtesy to send a quick reply (sorry, I found someone else!). We are entitled to do whatever we possibly can to get the item we want as fast as possible. Buyers should not be concerned with the seller insofar as completing a trade. It is NOT disrespectful if a buyer decides not to wait. Similarly, it is NOT disrespectful if a seller ASKS a buyer to wait. ***EVERYONE has their own time table. Not just the seller, not just the buyer. Last edited by jsuslak313#7615 on Jan 30, 2024, 5:59:31 AM

Also for the record....OP is criticizing buyers for not showing patience when they are showing the exact same impatience and not even realizing it.
