so that the impatient "gotta have it right now" spam kiddies can't spam 10-20 people for the same 1-5 chaos item.

Dear lord this might be the worst suggestion ever. Trade already sucks because most people ignore you (hence why people spam 10-20 people) and you want to make it worse?

classic one-sided view....
Maybe think about how you would feel as the buyer? You want an item, right in that moment, and people aren't responding to you. Plus...you KNOW as a PoE player that its likely 1 out of every 10 is going to respond. So the buyer messages as many as possible so they can get the item faster. Conversely, the SELLER has all the control in the world. You get to choose when, or even if, you want to trade. The buyer has no idea what YOUR plan is when they message you. The only thing going through their mind is "I want this item now!". But the seller has every right to stick to their own schedule and finish what they are doing. There is absolutely NOTHING wrong with either side's mentality: but IGNORING the reality of one side when you make suggestions like this is horrendous. This 5-second suggestion would help....not one single person in the game. The only thing it accomplishes is punishing the buyer for...being a buyer. If you are seriously bothered by people moving onto other sellers...then sit in your hideout when you are ready to do a bunch of trades. Or draft an auto response that you can quickly send. As a buyer, if a player tells me "in a lab, can you wait 5 minutes?" I will absolutely say "sure" and wait. But if they say nothing within a few seconds, I immediately think "okay they are doing something else, time to try another person". Why and how would I assume otherwise? If seller doesn't want to sell - I mean you listed item didn't you so it means you want to sell - then take off the item or go to "dnd" mode or send auto-reply: "I'm doing X, can you wait X mins?". |

If you get a trade request, invite. Wait until you see them accepting the invite before portaling back to hideout. No portals wasted.

Right... because 90% of trade requests are not answered to in the first place. So the only way to get trades done, especially on currency items, is to throw as much **** against the wall until something sticks. There you go. And I stand with my opinion: trading in this game is not in an acceptable state from a QoL point of view. But seems like the solution EHG found in LE (MG and CoF) will at last cause some... motivation to reconsider the insulting "trade manifesto". |

People spamming 10-20 people at the same time, should be perm banned.
This is the first league (although the one before that was Betrayal) I encountered this phenomenon. They contact you with a buy whisper. You invite them to the party and they then immediately decline. What the fuckin hell? This disrespectful behaviour did not exist in the beginning of POE. Heart of Purity
