Ruthless is way better than bloated normal game, but PLEASE make Ruthless fun to play

I can sense that this league was a tactical move by ggg, first to hype (bring more exposure) with massive loot drops, ascendancies, exp and stuff, and then secondly to bring fatigue from too much loot creating desire for smth in the middle which would be soon coming poe 2 (either beta or alpha, or if not then reveals).

Ruthless is supposed to be a game mode where you're not getting "enough". I find it very weird when people are then choosing to play it and then complain that they are "not getting enough". So yes, I will continue acting like he is saying something weird, because I actually think it's weird.

In my eyes, the two SSF leagues we have, both fall "in between", as your progression is slower, and 'most' people would spend a lot of time getting to where they can MF juice high level content.

so how is it weird that people are asking for a game mode where they're getting just enough stuff? ruthless is not enough, and the base game is way too much, it's only natural that people are asking for something that's in the middle.

Then they forgot a small but important fact.

There is still another league left before poe 2 beta. Second league probably is going to be back to normal loot. If they wanted to do that, they should have made the next league insanely rewarding.

Yes, Ruthless is in a way better. But it's too ruthless for me.
You already mentioned some points, but for me it is the combination of several things that makes it too hard for me:
* scarcity of gems combined with low drop rates
* scarcity of good item drops combined with scarcity of support gems
* no movement skills (no, I don't call Sidestep a movement skill, it's more of a manual dodge) - not even the attack ones like Shield Charge, Leap Slam etc.
* no/ different vendor recipes

They can keep the XP penalty for all I care. It's ruthless, after all.

To me, that wouldn't be weird at all (even though I think the SSF leagues fall in between). But this thread isn't an example of that. This thread is an example of "destroying" the experience for the "not enough" players because OP, personally, wants a slightly different experience.

Look, we have hundreds of thousands of players, each with their own idea of what the ultimate experience is - and we already have a lot of leagues tailoring to different experiences. On top of that, PoE 2 is coming out soon, and it will probably also have a bunch of leagues. When are we/they going to say that enough is enough, try to adapt to one of the 10 different experiences GGG provides?

Again, I understand perfectly well that people want something in between regular PoE and Ruthless. But some players also want Ruthless. They can't make a league for ever player. And to go into Ruthless, where scarcity of drops is the main draw, just to complain about that scarcity, seems weird to me. That might be a "me problem", but that's just how it is. I find lots of things weird.

My only real gripe is that bosses regain 40 percent health when the player dies. Other than that, Ruthless feels fine to me for a ruthless experience.

That's the thing that actually made me quit Ruthless. Couldn't beat General Adus with my build - although it did quite well in ToTA matches.
The other things I mentioned before, I could live with, although I wished they were different.

Ever considered SSF as a middle ground? I doubt you will be able to make a legit MF there without the trade.
