Since many people seem to be bothered much about the Void mod on Valdos Puzzle Box maps

RF patch notes(still works as a build), Rf mana trans gem(better than the previous RF), trans gems being useless (many are being used even on the leaderboards) , Void mod whining, league mechanic being too hard after 3 nerfs (no your build is just bad and you empower too much)...

Good entertainment is all it is.

ye this is all good but this Valdo map conflicts with the game's fundamentals that is the softcore and hardcore league distinctions. I already saw two level 100's get voided today and that was maybe 2 hours of playtime.

In softcore you should not be able to lose your character to a lag spike, a disconnect or anything. This is what HC mode is for. And this map modifier is even worse than HC death. Why do we have to have this here?

Some of these maps are hard enough without this shit. I mean, complete 10 waves of ultimatum while not being able to choose the modifier, on top of having -50% movement speed, travel skills disabled, map containing The Feared and Oba's Cursed Trove timer (300 seconds)?! All this bullshit at once is bad enough, void thing adds insult to injury.
I for one think it is genius. It is the ultimate gamble when you put everything on the line if you choose to enter.

Constructive as always, Mr. Wink :) Your superiority over others remains undisputed.

As was pointed out, the outrage about the void mod is overblown and based on misinformation spread by some elect few people.

People making confident statements without doing their dilligence is funny, and by your reaction I'd guess you also fell for it. No shame in it but what you bring on yourself by making a response like that

Yes, void maps won't collapse the game, but even dedicated streamer can make a mistake and misread a map mod, and then fall to wild mob scaling inside the map. It is not "epic fail throughout the game", just another unethical practice to add to the game.

Them's the rules. You signed the waiver, entered the map. Doesn't matter if your cat plops its hairy arse on your keyboard, doesn't matter if there's a power outage. Don't risk what you are not willing to lose. It's that simple

My cat passed on 2 years ago, so yeah, I think I am safe from void maps, appreciate the concern :) Still doesn't change the situation for other people who have no idea of the risks, especially if you have a cat.

As has been pointed out an exasperating amount of times, there's literally a confirmation screen before being able to enter the darn map that informs you about the meaning of "voided characters"

What else do you need? Does it need to freeze the game, give a voiceover instruction then force the player to take a written exam on the one definition? Jesus Christ dude.

Does this provide information about what AN mods you will meet on the map too? Unfortunately, in poe you cannot assess and retreat. Either you win in 1 sec, or you die in 1 sec. Confirmation you said works only for "just never try it" stance, it doesn't help increase vigilance because there is no vigilance.

As said above, idea of voiding is interesting, but poe cannot sustain it for reasons not tied directly to void maps.
Akschually there's more than just AN mods in there. If you pay close attention, you even spot some old Bloodlines mods that have been removed since the introduction of AN.

Fact is, the map is a T17. There are warning signs. Map mods can be read before attempting. Most mods have descriptions you can toggle on by holding Alt. The map dropping from a box should be a sign to anyone that this isn't just some run of the mill map you just slow in and run, it's a special occasion. If you don't understand a mod, wiki exists. Or global chat. Or friends. Any of that.

I don't see how infantilizing players helps anyone. It's pathetic
