Marketplace for tradies + drop rate for non-traders suggestion.

Might be better to lock players to SSF and give improved Quantity and Rarity like Last Epoch does it. Its a very elegant solution to this. Never let the people who choose the SSF route to go trade and you no longer have people abusing it ever

Would never happen but removing trading entirely with a balance rework around ssf would also work. Party play could still be a thing but everyone has their own loot in the same way D3 handled their loot system.

The game has so many different maps, they could enable them all the time and split uniques and cards across the large pool to make the target farm for item x more viable rather than just hoping for your one desired item to drop randomly at some point.

It would also immediately get rid of rmt and the market board heroes/ trading bots, tft and so much other filthy at the same time hoho
Flames and madness. I'm so glad I didn't miss the fun.

As I understand you have access to the game source code?

You mean like the item JSON data, which is openly released to the community literally every league? The thing which lets loot filters exist?

YES. AND SO DO YOU.

But honestly I'm shocked that you came right out and admitted that you want to impose a penalty on other players for committing the crime of having friends. That's a big ole YIKES, my dude. I'm out.

No. I suppose you're not familiar with the classes, instances and object-oriented programming in general. This is what I am talking about: INSTANCE of the class. And JSON has nothing to the objects in the game server / DBMS memory but can be used as export format after serialization in our case. Item is an object of a class, or in other words an instance.

Did you read the topic from the start? Having and playing with the friends is not a crime. But if people want to have Marketplace, they have to pay some cost for that. Chris Willson already very clearly stated that the game with the quick sells/buys should have nerfed drop rates and this idea penalizes the rest of playerbase (90%).

These topics are good example of what people want to see. You cannot deny that they are exist.

...and the other ones including reddit topics.

Adding in-game Marketplace will negatively impact 90% of playerbase. But if you want to have Marketplace, the cost of that must be reduced IIQ/IIR for the traders. Dynamic IIQ/IIR is a way to reduce the huge gap between two categories of the players.

If you want to play market - pay the taxes. If you want to play the game - be rewarded with better drop. Pretty simple isn't it? The only problem is how to properly measure the networth and determine the way the items were aquired. But the game server / DB(MS) already has that sort of information. You already can check the Guild Stash log.
And yet, none of these threads matter. What you propose goes directly against the vision GGG has for trade in Path of Exile, and therefore all this is for naught (and I am happier for it)
The opposite of knowledge is not illiteracy, but the illusion of knowledge.
