Help finding delve node
I've spent quite some time delving in abyss biomes looking for a haunted remains node, but no luck.
I've then searched online for tips for this quite a bit, and keep seeing the same thing: enter "haunted" in the search bar of the delve mine layout map. But that turns up nothing but those common nodes. Is this just weird luck or do I need to do something different? I've been going laterally, off to the left or right, where I can see "abyssal depth" at the edges, hoping when I get there that further out a haunted remains will show up. But usually after 10 nodes or so the biome turns into fungal forest or magma. Do haunted remains only show up deeper than level 80? According to the wiki, they could be as low as 25 (but the wiki seems not entirely accurate - it says the minecart will wait for you if you go slow or stop, which doesn't seem to be the case at all). I'd appreciate any tips, the constant search in abyssal depths is starting to get tedious. The nodes that drop the highest tier fossils generally show up more frequently starting around depth 300, and more and more frequently the further you go down. They're not gated by exploding walls most of the time at those depths either. Depth 400ish is pretty good for not super high tier difficulty nodes and still generally decent frequency of those fossils.
You will find them extremely rarely in comparison at shallower depths, but in those cases they're almost always gated by exploded wall paths. Hope it helps:) |

" Hey thanks. I'm not looking for fossils, I just want this 5L crafting recipe, which apparently only comes from a haunted remains! Underrated stats: Basic human decency, small quantum of respect, microportion of compassion

5-link recipe is in the sulphur vents map (tier 12) this league. It was removed from delve a while back. 6 link recipe is in Silo map.

" Damn I must be misreading so much! Thanks a lot! I'd still like to find that haunted remains node for another reason however because Id like to get some spectres there. So I do want to keep looking regardless. Underrated stats: Basic human decency, small quantum of respect, microportion of compassion

No problem, I looked a little deeper into your question about haunted remains frequency. It looks pretty common even at lower depths on my delve chart. I've delved to ~330 depth this league, but was able to find several nodes from 75 all the way down with regular frequency with a rate around 1 in 5 abyssal depths nodes. If you're looking specifically for ones with abyss rewards or minion items, those are much rarer, but more frequent the deeper you go. For example, I have only 1 abyss item reward node so far, but several of the minion items rewards types below depth 300.

@ OP - remember to use the correct Wiki:

Thanks!
Yes I'm using the official wiki! https://www.poewiki.net/wiki/Haunted_Remains And no, I'm not looking for specific rewards, I just want to find the node so I can fight some ancient wraiths! Underrated stats: Basic human decency, small quantum of respect, microportion of compassion

OK I think I found one, had to go a bit deeper. I think the main problem is that the node icon is totally different from the one on the wiki.
Just don't want to screw this up: In case no ancient or suffering wraiths show up in this node, or I somehow totally mess up and disconnect or die or something stupid: Can I force a new instance of this node if I have already visited it before? Or would I havee to find yet another haunted remains? thanks in advance Underrated stats: Basic human decency, small quantum of respect, microportion of compassion Last edited by onomastikon#6270 on Oct 26, 2023, 9:05:35 AM

The ancient suffering is guaranteed to spawn I think. However it is going to be a rare shrieker style mob that spawns at the end so dont fret if you dont see one. Just make sure you have nothing that consumes corpses and take note of where you kill the rare so its easy to find and specter.
And once the node is complete you cannot access it anymore. However if you fail the node for whatever reason it is still accessible. You just have to pay the azurite cost again. Last edited by gladiatorpie#3317 on Oct 26, 2023, 11:12:35 AM
