why do you show mirror tier builds on youtube?

It's aspirational content. Showcasing a 20c build that anyone can make sort of defeats the entire point.

Well that's their fault and not the games fault. Everyone who actually wants to set their goal to run a build like that could do that even as a more casual player.
Sure some settle with a 40-50d build, not because they cannot afford more, it's more they just reached their personal goal and they are just happy with the build they play cause in the end you don't need any mirror tier gear or x mirror budget build to achieve anything in the game. Some people love to min-max their characters while others are happy with mid tier gear.
The game became so easy over the past years that you can run a league starter build on bare minimum shoelaces budget all the way to the pinnacle bosses within the first week. there are also more than enough helpful sources to feed you with information's you need in order to run whatever build or farming methods you like if you are a inexperienced player.
Even if you are a "casual" and put in just a few hours a week into the game you are sill able to reach red maps just fine or make currency if you want to. If you are simply bad at the game and or to lazy enough to get better that's again your own fault cause nothing stops you from getting as good or rich as others. Sure you won't make as much currency as someone who sits in the game 10h/day but even if you spend just 2h a day in a productive way you make enough currency to afford such a build just fine within a reasonable time.

I don't see the problem with showcasing stuff that's available at the zenit of the game. It's interesting and fun to watch (potentially) even if you can't make the build yourself. I loved to watch progamer vods in SC BW even if i could never even dream of playing like that.

There's no fair reason to not showcase a pretty unique and unordinary build just because it's a bit more expensive or the creator took their time to min-max it to the level they want. They could even show off a really low budget version and it wouldn't look and different in a showcase.

Very much agree with this...not once have I used or even been tempted to use TFT. And if I wanted to (as I have done many times in the past), I can create a mirror build or even a multi-mirror build in about a month and a half of 10-20 hours per week of gameplay. If that was my goal.

Mirror builds aren't really my goal or aspiration anymore so I don't do that. But while TFT might make things easier (I wouldn't really know...), the trade site and in-game tools are MORE than enough to do the same thing. Improvements can definitely be made, but it certainly isn't non-functional.
