I don't like Trials. I don't like how I'm expected to play as a walking distraction to aggro the enemy while my teammates sneak in and take totems upon reaching a rank where you always get 1shot and your damage is worthless.
However, I still want it to go core. Those tattoos are amazing and it would be a shame to lose them. PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds.
Also PoE players: The [league mechanic] doesn't need to be nerfed, you just need to play a [current meta] build! And the winds will cry / and many men will die / and all the waves will bow down / to the Loreley |

Good side features of TotA are player agency and no exp loss in the league mechanic itself:
-Saving up Silver coins while not instantly expending them -Chaining TotA league Mechanics for days non-stop -No exp loss So it allows you to ignore it while mapping without fear-of-missing-out (you collect coins anyways) and then if you like you can play it for days nonstop (while barely touching the base game), on top of not losing EXP while doing it. Would like to see some of this in future leagues as well in one way or another. Masterpiece of 3.16 lore "A mysterious figure appears out of nowhere, trying to escape from something you can't see. If it does go core they need to address the xp issue. If you don't lose xp on death then you should not be gaining xp either. I like the items and tatoos but I dread going in the mechanic itself its just not fun for me.

They could also just add the captains as random unique mobs in maps and have them drop the tota uniques and tattoos. With one or two atlas passive wheels for chance for better drops or chance to encounter them.
Would be the easiest way and they wouldn't have to balance the entire loot pool and tota mechanic itself. Flames and madness. I'm so glad I didn't miss the fun.
