3.22 league mechanic is not for everyone: please make lots of balance changes.
Another no in-map combat league without density increases...sigh.

" I'd like the league to have something to do with my player killing mobs and getting loot. That would be a great start. |

People can say whatever they want about the 3.22 league mechanic, whether they like it or not; but it shouldn't be a surprise that many people aren't into it.
Imo it's just lame and looks terrible, and doesn't have its place in PoE. Asking for a lot of balance changes when we've basically had the same meta for 5 leagues in a row isn't too much to ask. I want to play the league, I want to play the game, but GGG making weird/bad choices isn't my fault. I don't care if it's a shit ton of nerfs, or buffs, but please just mix things up. Affliction and Necropolis worst leagues ever. The current game design has slowly turned this game into a loot-shower fest, chase uniques are way too available; and obtaining chase items through stacked decks and valdo's boxes simply isn't fun.

I loved crucible, I love leagues that give us projects, especially when those projects are intimately tied to a D&D hack and slash dungeon running core loop (AKA ARPG core loop) that make us look at loot on the ground (good bases to cook trees onto in the case of crucible).
The worst leagues for me are the hard set minigames that don't impact or interact with the core loop of an ARPG especially when they're in their own instances... heist, Sanctum (especially because it was a only DPS matters design, yuck)... This one might be my least hyped league in years... So naturally I would also highly suggest that GGG make some big chunky meta shaking changes to skills. Can start with GGG sharing Ben_ recent vods around the office and maybe jacking up some melee skills numbers. and just deleting the negative attack speed multi thats on every melee skill. Instant LOGIN. Pandering to players who don't want consequences for their mistakes is a perfect description of what went fundamentally wrong with D3 and 4.
If they wanted mindless mobile game time waster gameplay they sure did make some perplexing choices and marketing statements for 6 fucking years. |

" only 5 leagues? hmmm hasn't it been something like 3 years? I guess you could say the "hand casting" spell revamp that flabergastingly and insanely buffed the base damage of all spells in the game for some inexplicable reasons (while leaving most of melee untouched and thus proxy nerfed when it was already bad in comparison) was the last real "shakeup" that was wide impact Problem with that is those spell skills were already the best things to use in the game, but they were commonly being used more in totems and traps/mines or automated (spellslinger). Getting a few people to "hand cast" the wide array of spell based meta skills doesn't feel like a meta shakeup to me. COld Dot's been a thing for 3 years, Fire DOT same deal, phys mines/traps, corrupting feaver + skill that hits ton... same shit for 8+ leagues I feel like. Pandering to players who don't want consequences for their mistakes is a perfect description of what went fundamentally wrong with D3 and 4.

Yeah, it's time for a real shakeup. Bring in heaps of changes, please. I want to see changes that make me go: "Uuuuh, skill X looks sexy, and I haven't played that for years".
Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile. Last edited by Phrazz#3529 on Aug 8, 2023, 4:27:02 PM

+1 here. A few notables on the atlas tree that "change" how we interact with mechanics in maps isn't really meaningful content. After a day it's obsolete.
Real content aside from adding actual meaningful content (that's clearly not happening any more because of POE2) at least give us lots of changes so that theres alot of theory crafting and new builds to try out and discover throughout the league... |

Seems interesting to me, depends how much work it needs to get working, if it's a set the roster in camp and auto battle when you see a node that could be fine.
But if it's every time you run in you have to waste 2-3 minutes making a line up and directing it, then yeah I'll ignore. |

I'm all for people liking the league mechanic, even though I already know I won't. Still we deserve balance changes ; it used to be so much fun back in the day to have huge patch notes.
Nowadays when a new league comes out you just know that nothing changes, no shake-up. It's both stale and detrimental when it comes to theory-crafting, which used to be Path of Exile's identity. Affliction and Necropolis worst leagues ever. The current game design has slowly turned this game into a loot-shower fest, chase uniques are way too available; and obtaining chase items through stacked decks and valdo's boxes simply isn't fun.

" "league mechanic is not for everyone"??? Which league mechanic was for everyone? I'm confused what you're getting at by stating this. |
