Gender locked classes don't belong in 2023 let alone 2024

Just please leave that in the past, I want to be able to play a male caster or a female warrior, classes gender locked don't belong in 2023 let alone in 2024.

I don't mind it in POE.

POE is telling a story for THAT character.

You aren't the character, you're just playing the combat for them.

That's like saying no game should ever have a gender specific protagonist. It really depends on the story they are trying to tell.

I do not understand the complaint

What's been shown about the way they've set it up is a little disappointing, yeah. The way that a second class is such an obvious opportunity to subvert the roles a little and it seemingly hasn't been taken makes it feel like an active choice, which is kind of ugly. Not surprised, given...GGG. But it's a bit of a shame.

Still, the game's not done yet.

It's not like that at all. There's nothing in any character's "story" (if you can call it that, which is pretty generous) that relies on them being a specific gender. I mean they don't even have names.

(And if the Witch is supposed to be a specific Witch, etc, then I wouldn't see three of them in town)

It's a fantasy game though, people play. this to escape real life.
