I actually rather enjoy the sound effects — specially the shattering sounds of a frozen enemy, Infernal Blow explosion, but many others.

Cannot really agree with OP though as everything else in life, sounds can always improve.
Here since Closed Beta. Never found a Mirror. Still love PoE. :- )

GGG should host a contest to see who can provide the best sound effect for a creatures death, and whoever does gets a prize, such as having their name in the credits, or some micro transaction coins, or possibly even a unique in-game item only given to the people chosen (It must not be copy-written)

For example they should have a contest to see who can provide the best death sound for the following X creatures (Each person can provide one creatures death sound) and each person who's sound is chosen as the best one should get the reward.

It would be fun to hear the sounds people can make, and how creative some people will be with household fruits, veggies, ect.

probably this won't happen not that i would not support it.

Goatmen sounds sheepish and just doesn't fit, it sounds so funny and jellyfish :(

I've talked this problematic situation for several times personally with Andrew many many months ago. To liken current death yell to a guttural deamonc state should not be that hard.

I have no problem with death sound effects.

I'd say some skill sound effects alone are meek and quiet. But that just makes stacked sound effects feel more powerful. I just love things such as multiple projectile supports or detonating stacks of remote mines.

I still remember the first time I added Greater Multiple Projectiles to Freezing Pulse. It was amazing. So is shattering masses of frozen enemies. <3

Any reason why we can't have that blood effect in your official video as a normal sound effect in the game? That's exactly what I am talking about! If we had more effects like that one, that game would become much much better sound-wise!

That is in game audio, I recently improved some of the gore sounds.

I believe that it is included in the 0.10.2 patch.

I've noticed some of the effects, death sounds, seem improved, wild and satisfying again. :)
