"api-ms-win-core-libraryloader-l1-2-1.dll is missing" error
Okay, after doing some research, it seems that the new patch introduced calls to .dll libraries which are part of DX12 and thus unavailable on Win7 machines.
After I switched the renderer from DX11 to Vulkan, I no longer get this error. Last edited by Black_Gun#7476 on Jul 24, 2023, 8:48:19 PM

Thank you for the report, this has been passed on to the engine team to investigate.

Same error here. Windows 7 too.

" Same for me now - interestingly the same error pops-up twice, but the game loads into the selected character, even after closing the pop-ups. |

same issue here, also on win 7 x64.

We have determined that we cannot fix this error on our end, as we cannot supply that .dll file via the client.
You'll need to update your Windows install or find a way to acquire that .dll file. | |
" Did This .DLL become a requirement? Or did the patch somehow remove it. |

Hi, I have tried to find the .dll and put it into either my system32 or path of exile root folder - but it doesn't seem to solve the issue.
instead it throws out a new error message - i can't remember what exactly it is but something to do with fetching. |

Pls revert the change to the compiler, doesnt work anymore on win7. After copying the missing dll file to system32, the game is hanging but the error is gone.
No issues on crucible leage. |

You can also put the missing ddl in the poe root folder, the game is loading, after a few seconds in town the game is freezing.
