Should drinking potions while frozen and gating in a boss fight be removed in higher difficulties?

Agreed -- using pots while frozen is kinda narky and should be fixed. You're frozen, yo. Stay frozen.

Gating though...I'm guilty of this in Diablo, Torchlight, etc., though there's usually no one to heal me as soon as I gate to town. This should also be fixed for the sake of challenge.
I'm not against it in lower difficulties I just think for the harder ones it turns into an exploit

This could be something more designed for a league than a base part of the game. Although, they haven't really began the hard fine tuning yet as it's still in quite an early phase.
must be fixed >_>

Another sign that "Hardcore" is not really 'hardcore' at all..

It is standard with perma-death... yippie...

They need to do the following:
1)Standard - Default
2)Standard w/ Permadeath - die in here, get sent to default
3)Hardcore - increased challenge but w/o perma death
4)Hardcore w/ Permadeath - die in here, get sent back to regular hardcore

So the leagues branch off like...
Standard<=Standard PermaDeath
Harcore<=Harcore PermaDeath

This way, standard and harcore are actually two different difficulties, and each has a permenant child that is there for the permadeath lovers.

Doesn't seem like you've been paying attention? There will be many different leagues, not just hardcore and normal.

What you're talking about would be like iron man or some other league they might make.

Overall the difficulty get harder once completing the story once though, so there'd just be significant overlap between playing a low level on hard league vs playing a high level on chaos difficulty.

Yes I have been paying attention. My example had more then one, permenant difficulty, each with their own permadeath child leagues...

I don't see that being implemented now.

So even if they had an ironman league, give it it's own permadeath child.

I don't feel permadeath alone should be used to call a mode "hardcore".

Well with any game where there are different base difficulties and increasing difficulty level within, there is going to be some 'overlap' - but if you want to say that it would be significant, you would have to show/prove that.

Also, I think this all depends on how your defining your hardcore mode. If it balances the instances so that it assumes there are more players than what is currently there, there never will be overlap. I am sure they can figure out other ways to make a hard league not overlap.

Bosses life should be restored once someone use portals to refill life and pots. Otherwise this is a major exploit (which was never fixed in D2).

As for drinking pots while frozen, it's ok. It would be too frustrating, especially in HC, when dying from some random freezes. Notice that players still need enough pots to overcome monster attacks while frozen. Although, the pots cooler is still something open to discuss.
I agree with Kokoro; hardcore players need to be able to heal whenever, but gating is cheap. Popping a portal should reset the boss, like the Ancients in DII.
Just a note: there is (at the moment) a flask mod that removes frozen and chilled debuffs when you use the flask in question, so flask usage while frozen does seem to be intended. And yes, you still need to be able to take/out-heal whatever damage shows up in the meantime - getting frozen is much like getting surrounded (and one often leads to the other) in that regard.

As for portals, I agree something needs to be done about them, although there's definitely something to be said for allowing them in some form - not all real-life interruptions are foreseeable, after all.

In that vein I'd say dropping the healing-upon-entering town is a common-sense option. (I'm sure there are negatives to this, though, otherwise the devs wouldn't have introduced it in the first place)

I have walked the spiral out.

<<In my opinion>>

If u are stunned or palalized u shouldn't be able of do anything (move items , skills , spells use potions, usable items ,walk or run)

If u are Rooted , slowed , silenced u should be able to do all things (except for silence u shouldn't use spells and some skills)

Then there too should be buff and debuff that affect reg hp of potions (i can't test the game so i don't know if that already implement)

I think heal potions shouldn't be spameable , it should got 5-10s minium cd and tps should have cast time and reuse cd time

Pd : Question: is instant Reg potion or time reg potion?
