Once again I'm asking to give us Solo Trade or remove Multiplayer advantages.
Challenges being completed by having another player play the game for you, kill bosses for you, etc. XP penalty being ignored, therefore the investment for defense being ignored by just paying groups to get xp in a 5-way Legion?
The fact multiplayer exists ruins challenges, it ruins xp and the only way to escape it is to play SSF. PoE is nothing without trade, so I would never do that. Why do we have to throw away trade to get rid of multiplayer advantages? And not only that, my totem looks the same whether I do it in trade, SSF and even now Ruthless? What's the point? But hey, at least this league mechanic doesn't encourage characters to ignore defense like last league. Please never bring that back, thanks. Last bumped on Apr 29, 2023, 4:00:41 AM

" This was designed to be a multiplayer game with trade at its very core. While i dislike services its only because of the RMT otherwise there's very little reason to be upset over someone having more than you as they likely earned it legitimately even if they're trading currency for time. They could and should definitely reign in exp gains globally and keep extreme exp services at a maximum rate.. Nerf it too hard and you severely affect people who for a number of valid reasons utilize services which would ultimately hurt us all when they leave and invest in other games. Been where you are somewhat when these services first started taking root as a commonplace thing but it was always and will always be a thing, if you yourself get to the point you can easily dispatch content that other players basically can't even dream of even trying to take down in their current state... I would love to see you turn down all that $$$ :P Innocence forgives you

" Actually the totem is different for Ruthless. I was going to go for it but I just don't have that grind in me like I did when I was younger nor do I have the time. However I completely agree with you. SSF and HC just aren't worth it in current state but knowing that you can get most or all of the challenges done by RMT'ing is pretty lame and kills any incentive I might of had for going for those "challenges" “Not a single item of importance [in the news]. A tower of illusion, all of it, made of illusory bricks and full of holes. If life were made up only of important things, it really would be a dangerous house of glass...So everybody, knowing the meaninglessness of existence, sets his compass to home.” Last edited by nKs#1015 on Apr 26, 2023, 5:25:33 PM

Solo trade will have RMT too simply because of the trade, There will be a lot of solo-trading-from-hideout and solo-crafters selling the items, The only real thing that changed was maybe you feel more accomplished until someone points all of this out after the fact.
The best bet here is to fight for this as a private league option. Innocence forgives you Last edited by SilentSymphony#3358 on Apr 26, 2023, 5:35:56 PM

You are asking a question that you don’t care to know the answer to but you think its a rebuttal.
I understand why you aren’t affected by such things but thats what differentiates us. So just let it be “Not a single item of importance [in the news]. A tower of illusion, all of it, made of illusory bricks and full of holes. If life were made up only of important things, it really would be a dangerous house of glass...So everybody, knowing the meaninglessness of existence, sets his compass to home.”

" this permeates into game design player experience. it actually goes even further than just challenge clears. atlas passive clears are mostly doable for most of the playerbase. the last few are insanely difficult for the "casual" player. the eater and exarch can be difficult but are mostly mechanical in nature. they also have an "easy mode". players are expected to clear em. then we have the last 2 voids stones which are a huge hurdle for weaker players. maven has a non arpg puzzle mechanic, while shaper+elder is a shit show. the maven invites are full of shit shows that are frankly not balanced where the best way to play is to delete all enemies before they become a problem. all these reward players with atlas passives. stuff that are VERY valuable. any RANDOM player will see value in these atlas passives. so whats the problem? players are FORCED to get em. it makes absolute sense to get em. it doesnt matter how, but you need em. so what happens is players will buy carries. how does this tie in to challenges? carries become the primary way for players to gain these challenges/passives. whenever starting a new league, weaker players will simply set aside currency for carry services. whats wrong with carry services? i would say its a problem with the core gameplay design that is INTENTIONAL. i have strong reason to believe that GGG wants to appease guilds that specialize in these services. there are a ton of people playing league. 200k? imagine this. if your guild provided carry services. from voidstones to the feared. you could roughly net 1 divine per player. if you run it for 1k players? thats 1k divines. ggg sees it in their best interest to keep it this way so that the guilds are happy and the guilds will buy more mtx and stuff. its quite ironic. GGG made it difficult to trade on purpose so that players will focus on playing the game themselves. this philosophy shows that the devs want players to actually play the game themselves. the irony is that GGG knows most players are resorting to carries. they're intentionally keeping it the way it is. " ill ask again how does it affect you? If other people suck or are lazy and choose to pay for carry how does that affect your enjoyment of the game? You are upset that you think some people who take the time to do carries make currency doing it? so do the same thing it still have little to no affect on your playing the game i mostly play ssf so none of this affects me at all but seems to me that when i do choose to play trade which is rare to be fair some guy running around with 10 mirrors in gear doesnt affect me in the slightest doing boss carry service or challenge services sounds boring as fuck to me but if someone else finds enjoyment or profit in that and other players who are either weaker or unskilled benefit from it and get the experience more end game content from that that sounds like a good thing to me. so why would i care? why do you care? Why some of the members of this community are so obsessed with what others do or are doing in the game?
"Parade your victories, hide your defeats. Mortals are so insecure." Once you break the cycle of fear no angels or demons can whisper you their sweet nothing words. poe0.2/10. Nuff said. Last edited by Xystre#4581 on Apr 27, 2023, 7:02:23 AM

" +1 I couldn't care less if people do 5 ways to go from level 2 to 100. If you have the means and desire, then go for it. It has never affected me in any way, shape or form. In fact, I'm all for it because the more high level characters this game has means the more stuff there is on trade making the prices more competitive to schlubs like me. |
