because they blocked access to it behind and ill be kind and call them massively over tuned encounters.

I can't stress enough how terrible it is.
At this point its not an accident it was made this way on purpose.

That being said, the disappointment is understandable. On the other hand D4 doesn't seem all that special. It has 2 good points to it: visuals and gamplay flow; bonus for story if you're into that. From hat weak beta you can't even judge how good it can be by endgame.

No, no its not good. The core POE experience started getting worse after Ritual, too much nerfs, less loot, almost no currency drops, and of course enemies just kept on getting stronger.

Also very backwards thinking from this game that refuses to go past the early 2000's of games.

This. The new mechanics is definitely a pile of hot garbage, and PoE is far from flawless, but still no other ARPG provides the same amount of content and level of depth.

I haven't played much for the past two leagues, so I think I'm staying and I'm fine with ignoring Crucible altogether and just playing the base game. For those who came only for the new league content - it's definitely an easy skip filler league.

What content are you talking about, this game is not even enjoyable. This game took the grind to the next level, that's what POE 2 will be about, taking the grind to the next level.

Also GGG lost their touch because of their "Vision".

Absolutely, could not agree more here, POE's foundation was built on quicksand. If you really look at POE it's all just smoke and mirrors, you can't do any build you want, only a select few will be able to do all content. This
game and company degenerated thats for sure.

Can't wait for D4 to screw this company's head straight.

Why not have the best of both worlds, give me the stand alone version and I will happily bugger off and play that to my heart's content. Then they can go and take PoE and multiply it by Dark Souls and I won't be moaning and bitching about it.

I played the D4 beta, thought it was ok but not worth $70, and got a refund. Now...most likely going to purchase D4. It was underwhelming, but this league redefines that word.

Exactly this.

I can't even defend PoE on the 'core gameplay' anymore, because it's somehow gotten worse over the years.

"movement skill spam > one attack clear screen > repeat", and the reward just being "hope some currency drops so you can buy your gear" is how the game is played now.

All the 'cool past content' is shoe horned into wherever it'l fit in maps. And good luck actually being rewarded with gear and non-currency drops from league content - even if you focus it. Everything is so equally messy and unrewarding.
