What's the point of Crucible in Campaign, especially for melee/ weapon based builds?

What weapon what that if you still remember , also i assume you got it dropped by monsters and did not bought it?

It was probably just by added elemental damage stacking. Even if you buy a good twink weapon at that level, if you're doing physical it won't last long.
Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.

This game is named Path of Magic...

where the best melee skill (cyclone) is used to proc magic!
where the game do not have true melee skills (range is equal to actual weapon range)... and you are punished heavily if you don't put additional "Range" on your melee weapon!
where the strong melee skills are Magical Melee with AoE damage.

Here is what I think about the topic.

1. I will use every crucible while leveling because I want to get familiar with the mechanic and see what passives I can get, maybe even early on I can get some vendor passives to sell it for chaos

2. I'm not racing anywhere. I don't want to go red tier maps day 1, screw that. I just wanna enjoy the game, league lasts for 3-4 months...
Seems normal for temp league content, usually kinda pointless to do until endgame unless you just like the encounter

True.

This leage mechanic is very counter intuitive given how often people change their melee or ranged weapons during league start weekend.

Imo this league mechanic is even more skippable during early progression than previous leagues given its nature.

In 3.20 i used one weapon from act 2 to 8, one from act 8 to late yellow, one from late yellow to late reds and 1 for endgame. Not sure how many i had during act 1 but lets say 8 to be generous. I'd say if you get yourself a decent base in late acts for a few chaos you might be able to save the red map switch i had to make. There is no reason or point to switch weapons that often.

From A2 to A8, interesting.

When i usually play melee (in SSF) i replace them like all 2-3 acts since even in this league you still get lots of upgrades during campaign when factoring in the crafting bench to squeeze out more dps.

But anyways this league here even less incentivises players to interact with it during campaign.
Considering you need first a good skill tree to begin with and then lots of time to fully unlock it while at the same time hoping to not drop a better weapon in the meantime.

That's the one i used till act 8. And yes, it dropped.

The other 2 are

First one was 3 chaos, second one was 5 and carried me all the to tier 16 maps where he got replaced with Voidforge at some point as my final weapon.
lmao, imagine not being able to finish the campaign in 4 hours using just the level 13 axe limbsplit.
Yall need more exp.
I will be using the mechanic while leveling Bonezone. I mean I just like killing monsters. If it makes my weapon I use for 10 levels a bit stronger, then thats fine with me. I don't really care if the campaign takes me a bit longer if I am having a really smooth prog curve.
Harvest made the mechanic worth doing your first time through the campaign, they can do it, its just a matter of will they take the time to.

Depends on the skills being used.

If it's either spell or minion based, players can then bake the weapons for longer and try to max out skill trees as the pure weapon damage is not that relevant in comparison to the additional skill tree mods that can pop up and amplify spell or minion damage.
